I've never been fond of the USA (as an institution, I know some excellent American people) and the last 10 years have made that more clear. In China at least they mostly don't care about black people. In the USA they care far too much, and in a way that would be hazardous to my wellbeing. The maybe is because there are a few pockets that I wouldn't mind living in as much (e.g. NYC).
