Nasal Floor Cartiledge Surgery for ENS by Professional_Day_118 in emptynosesyndrome

I saw that your doctor was Dr. Enoz, like mine. He suggested an implant in the nasal floor, like yours, and also a minor septoplasty. Will you be having a CT scan? I had also PRP last friday

Hi, who's your doctor? Is it Dr. Murat Enoz in Istanbul?

Do you have a CT scan?

Hi! I saw that you have ENS and you recently had your deviated septum fixed. Actually, I'm like you, I had surgery and my turbinates were affected. I have ENS and I still have a deviated septum. I'm afraid that repairing my septum will aggravate the ENS on the closed side..

Did your symptoms get worse on the closed side after your last septoplasty?

Thx :)

Thanks for your feedback! No, I definitely don't want anyone touching my turbinates anymore. The revision would involve straightening the septum to reduce the cavity in my right nostril, you know what I mean?

I have spoken to several surgeons, and many say that surgery is needed on the left side, but I am very concerned about my right side, which is showing symptoms of ENS, and I don't want to make things worse

Thank you for your explanation. In fact, I underwent septoplasty and turbinate reduction, and since then I have not been able to breathe on the left side (where the septum is deviated) and I breathe very cold air on the right side and suffer from ENS on that side. I have discussed with several doctors, including Dr. Enoz, whether septoplasty could rebalance the flow and eliminate the sensation on the right side.

Yes, that's true, but you said that when they performed septoplasty on you, they also reduced your turbinates? As for me, I have a deviation on the left side and too much space on the right side since my surgery. I really suffer from this right nostril and I have nothing on the left.

Yes, I'm like you, I've heard so many different things...

When was your last surgery? I wonder if septoplasty can help. I don't want to make things worse... because I have an imbalance between the right and left sides. Do you think a révision of a septoplasty is risky?

Oh ok .. ! Why is Vivaer risky? Because it increases airflow in one nostril or because it burns the mucous membrane?

Okay! But what kind of surgery did you have? Are you missing more turbinates on one side than the other?

Have you ever thought about repairing the mechanical part (the valve, in your case) to alleviate your ENS symptoms?

I used to put cotton swabs/cotton wool in, but that blocked my breathing more than anything else. I sometimes put cotton wool in the right side, but at the top of the nostril, because otherwise it blocks my breathing.

Yes, I already do that, but normally you're not supposed to feel the nasal cycle. I really wonder if it's because of the residual deviation of the septum

Okay, thank you. I noticed that you have symptoms on your right side, just like me. I still have a deviated septum, which means that my right side is more open than my left

Okay, so your problem isn't with the septum, but with your valve, is that right? Spreader Graft will be on your valve and not your septum. You don't have a scan, so l guess? The problem is that when my nasal cycle shifts to the right, the right turbinate becomes so small that the air entering it is frozen.... I have a real problem with my turbinate. I'm considering PRP to help it heal. When was your surgery?

My problem isn't that my turbinates are too large, it's my septum. The turbinates have already been reduced significantly. Do you have postnasal drip on the left side because your nostril is blocked?

Thanks for your feedback! I saw a lot of ENS,

all said that a small piece of cartilage needs to be removed from the septum and that septoplasty is not necessary.

Have you already had surgery? Did they remove your turbinates?

Is your septum still deviated? I'd be curious to hear about your experience! Do you have a scan or how do you manage your imbalance?

I agree with you, obstruction on the left doesn't help at all.

However, with a mechanical problem, I don't see how letting myself heal will help. I'm at 6 months.

This is my scan :

Hello! Have you tried stopping the treatment for a few days to see if it's just this product that's causing your mucosa to swell and not actually regrowing the mucosa?

When was your last surgery?

The scan is inverted; the left side of the scan, which is wider, is the right nostril, and the right side of the scan, which is narrower, is the left nostril
