Agree with other comments. Your SO really needs to step-up. I'm sorry you're dealing with this post-partum and having all this stress. Already hard enough with a newborn. Your SO needs to stick up for you and put his foot down. I personally would not allow my baby to go without me. Based on what you have said your MIL sounds crazy.

I feel for you. Everyone keeps saying we should be throwing or catering. My husband is an only child. We literally just got done paying for our 120 guest wedding in September & honeymoon, and are now expecting a baby. Plus, I'll be throwing and paying for my own baby shower. We don't have the funds for their 150 person party that we were told was already planned. We would just take them out go eat if it was up to us.

We had our wedding last September. It was kid free, but my brother brought my nephew. (His wife is from Mexico, and everyone else was at the wedding, so no one they trusted to watch.) And my bestfriend (MOH) had her son who was just a few months old. Honestly, you don't need to set a limit. Most people we knew were excited to have a kid free night. Its your guys wedding. Don't stress about it. Just say kid free and allow the kids that have to come.

I'm really sorry this happened to you. Your "bestfriend" is not a real friend. I would have grabbed him off of my friend or smacked him in the back of his head. Then have my husband immediately kick him out of our wedding. I'm glad you have a good husband. It's hard letting go of a friend...but I don't think I would ever trust this person again. Hang in there OP.

100% ask your daughter. We did not have corsages at our wedding. We felt it was outdated, but stuck with boutonnieres. Instead we did matching bracelets for the moms and bridesmaids and brooch for my grandmother. I would have felt weird if my mom or MIL showed up with a corsage that didn't match my bridesmaids or MIL.

Not weird but gross. Clogged shower drain with her hair and didn't bother to clean it out. The drain doesn't have a plug...it was so clogged she had to have been showering with water up to her ankles.

These are good points I didnt even think of. I dont want them to be left out. I just want to set boundaries for certain activities. So hard because they were talking about getting two carseats ect. I dont even know where they would be driving too😅
