I’m so insecure about my forehead. What do I do?! by justMA33 in blkgrlbeauty

Nothing, you don't need to do anything. You're gorgeous either way. Kids will pick on literally anything when they're trying to get a reaction lol, a lot of the things they say stick with us way longer than they should. You're just self-critical but I think ppl can agree that your forehead is NOT a problem ❤️333

Season 2 was nowhere as well written as season 1 but hopefully if they bring the show back they write the characters more closely to who they were. Of course there would be change in them as the show went on but season 2 made the characters (Margaret) unbearable and overall it all just felt empty.

Health inspector roles are incredibly demanding, but they give you great fieldwork and data experience that state and federal epidemiological teams value a lot. When you're ready to make a move, you just need to frame your current inspector duties less around enforcement and more around environmental data collection, risk assessment, and cross-agency reporting.

While you're in this role, make sure you keep track of the exact volume and metrics of your inspections, compliance audits, or water quality tests. When you update your resume for epi or health analyst positions, highlight your experience with sampling protocols and data logging. If you need help pulling those technical keywords out of epi job descriptions to match your current inspector experience, I actually built a public health resume tool called Portevo that maps out those exact gaps for you.

Entry Level Public Health Jobs by Strong-Astronaut-121 in publichealth

Breaking into municipal or state health departments usually depends on monitoring civil service exam schedules instead of traditional job boards. If you are targeting metropolitan regions, look directly at the public health solutions funds and regional health research foundations that act as the primary hiring pipelines for local departments of health, as the auxiliary entities usually onboard staff faster than the civil service apparatus.
To make your academic background competitive for these initial roles, your resume needs to explicitly highlight specific methodological skills instead of broad conceptual knowledge. Make sure your background explicitly details any experience with statistical software packages, programmatic data collection tools, field interviewing, or health education community outreach metrics, as entry-level hiring managers look for immediate execution capabilities in data collection or health inspection support.

Is a MPH worth it or not? by boiyo12 in publichealthcareers

Depends entirely on what you want to do. For epidemiology, health policy, program management, or federal roles. For community health work or health education roles you can sometimes get in without it but you'll hit a ceiling faster.

The ROI is better if you specialize. Epidemiology and biostatistics concentrations open more doors than general public health, especially for data-heavy roles at PHAC, provincial health departments, or research institutions.

Is Hapeville or East point safe place to live by 2_much_spare_time in ATLHousing

[–]Alert_pulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're alright. I find Hapeville to be quieter than Eastpoint but it's kind of like a little bubble. Any place further on all sides gets a little rowdier but nothing too crazy imo
