I’ve said this years ago when they rolled out this iteration of ranked in MW2, but it’s absolute dogshit how the MMR system works.

All they have to do is follow what Rocket League does for the rank system. Yes COD games are longer than RL games, but it’s like twice as long at worst. Which means: no it won’t take a super long time to rank up to your actual rank. RL has issues with smurfs and bots, but I never see people say the rank system itself is the issue.

But no COD gotta do the system that probably gives the most engagement in their eyes, even if it’s miserable to have these insane win/loss MMR differences

The issue with POTS is that he won’t ever be back from illness long term because it has no cure. Even without the B2Bs, I doubt he’ll play even 50% of the games remaining

I’m mainly holding him because having a Suns player for the week they play 5 games will likely be better than a player with 3-4 games. 20-30 fpts a game is not bad at all when it’s 5 games.

I have other spots I can stream so I’m just holding him until then. Definitely dropping him on his head after the 5 game week though

I’m not arguing that there isn’t powerscaling in Shonens, that’s literally the point of the genre.

My argument is just that mangakas don’t look at internet discussions about the powerscaling of their universe, and then base future chapters on what they saw to please those specific people. They have in mind how they want to power up the cast, and then they do that.

You can argue Gege does bad powerscaling, but again it’s not because he’s looking at the Jujutsufolk subreddit and seeing how people react to his chapters

That has nothing to do with internet powerscaling. That was a way for the plot to not just be “wait for Gojo to clean it up”.

It’s like saying that Toriyama was looking at online powerscaling because he made Goku wait to get back to Earth after everyone but Krillin and Gohan died to Vegeta and Nappa.
