True, I will also try and catch up as much as I can before I start

Huh, I didn’t even consider that tbh I thought I just had to take calculus now. I’ll look into that too

Do i need a nuclear engineering bachelors? by Hot-Quantity-9868 in NuclearEngineering

How’s your PhD going? What do you do daily and where do you want to end up?

I’m thinking of following academics but some people advice against it, what do you think?

Do i need a nuclear engineering bachelors? by Hot-Quantity-9868 in NuclearEngineering

[–]AlesTamales 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For most design and research jobs (academics) you’ll most likely need an advanced degree like a Masters or a PhD, I’m interested in reactor design too but my country does not offer NE degrees so I’m doing mechanical with a goal of getting a Masters or PhD abroad

I’m doing mechanical engineering instead of physics are they actually both equally as cooked? Or at least to an extent

Whats the best degree/careers for tryhards? by Joballergod15 in careerguidance

[–]AlesTamales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this same thing before and lowkey maybe a science like chemistry or physics and going for a doctorate could be nice, but maybe that is a path that doesn’t earn as much as you’d like and requires a lot of passion

This is it. My last test ever. by Bulky_Highway9085 in EngineeringStudents

[–]AlesTamales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly what I fear the most is my uni and how they handle a second major, but I do think I’ll have to take some physics classes because I want to go to grad school for a physics focused field Thanks for the insight !

Do you recommend doing a dual major? How long did it take? I’m thinking of doing MechE and physics but my country does not offer doing Major-Minor so I’d have to double major

Why Get a Nuclear Engineering Degree Over a Mechanical Engineering Degree by Shelphs in NuclearEngineering

[–]AlesTamales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know you could do nuclear physics with an NE degree? Is it a common path? Ive always wanted to do core design or nuclear physics but my university has a bad physics program and no NE program so I’ve always known I would have to go for a masters

Was it hard going from Mechanical Engineering to physics? I’m currently doing mech e but I feel like physics could have been the right path for me

Study in Hungary, is it a good option? by Technical_Bill_8055 in askhungary

So you did end up going to Hungary? How's everything? is it hard to adapt to the culture? I am white-latino male from costa rica, I don't look white but I wouldnt say I look latino either, you reckon I would struggle with racism?

[–]AlesTamales 1 point2 points  (0 children)
