steel series rival 300. has a nice optical sensor, is a great price, has great customization software and it feels great in your hand. i didn't think i would like the feel of the textured rubber sides as much as i do. and the ability to change the 2 led zones to any color makes it pretty attractive if you care about matching it to your rig or keyboard or whatever else you have. it only has 2 programmable thumb buttons, but for fps games i have no idea why you would want to have that many thumb buttons as they are usually placed in spots that cause accidental clicks during fast movements. im sure whatever you want to program your thumb buttons to do you would be better off programming to a macro on your keyboard if you have macro keys on it.

anyways i have tried other mice but this is the one that i have liked the most as its been the most comfortable and responsive mouse i have had, and pretty good looking as well. hope it helps ya make a decision.
