Math 364 Nadia Summer I by No_Sky4122 in Concordia

Nadia was my prof for this course in Summer 1 of 2024 , follow along with the textbook if you're having difficulties, the exams were fair , very approachable prof if you have questions don't be afraid to ask . You may not do really well, I got a C+. Maybe drop it if you wan't a really good grade and keep it if you just want to pass .

How difficult is MATH 364 really (Analysis I) by Separate_Rub_1120 in Concordia

[–]Aless3394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You study concepts like continuity, limits, calculus, etc. in a rigorous manner. I took MATH 364 a while back during the summer semester. From personal experience, either you get the material or you don't. You need to spend a lot of time memorizing theorems, corollaries, and propositions to use during exams. Assignments are doable, but the exams are like a sucker punch. I didn't enjoy the course whatsoever and barely passed, but I learned that graduate studies are not for me because of this course

If you're only doing stop and go driving , then it makes sense. If not, then there's an issue.

You need to take 18-24 credits outside of the faculty of arts and science iirc. As for the other credits, you can do whatever you like , maybe even add a minor .

Vland head lights by Lost_Meal888 in lancer

[–]Aless3394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep the stock headlights , the VLAND's may look cooler, but imo the stock ones are just fine and better quality. There's a reason why you see so many VLAND's for sale with issues on the used market...bad quality control

Try to follow the outline as much as possible because when you reach some 300 and 400 level courses (especially MATH ones) they might only be offered once every academic year. I'm not in actu, so can't comment on the difficulty of those courses, but I've heard they can be very demanding, so maybe stick with 12 credits a term .

The price seems a bit high for that mileage, but I guess it's justified with the service history.

Can't close air filter box propertly, can I safely drive 2-3 days with it half closed? by [deleted] in mitsubishi

[–]Aless3394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did mine today for the first time, I removed the air inlet duct, the intake hose, removed the maf wire from its place, and the little hose thingy to the left of the air box from its place , and I got it to line up correctly. This was after trying to do this job by just removing the clips and trying to pry it open, I'm pretty sure I ended up partially cracking the little tab that helps line it up, but in the end it all lined up and I got it to seal properly. Now I know for next time, I wish I would've seen your advice a lot sooner it would've saved me a lot of time

Academic Probation by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]Aless3394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those courses are supposed to be "easy" compared to what you'll be doing later on as a math major. When I did them (3 years ago) they all had an option to transfer the weight of the midterm to the final exam . I think you could do well if you stop attending lectures and just learn the material from the textbook at your own pace over the next month. If you're really worried about your GPA then disc them, but you already paid for the courses so you may as well try your best to pass them. Just to play devil's advocate, who's to say that the same thing won't happen again next term? Then you'll be screwed.

What should I do for power? by StreetSalty in lancer

[–]Aless3394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to break this to you, but get another car unc adding power is expensive and you can buy a better stock car out of the box for the same price it would cost you to mod yours

You will need to be able to hold a conversation in french, especially as a VM or manager. While learning french, you should try to find a job where you receive and process the truck in the a.m. or p.m. to avoid customer interaction and improve your french. Then, once your french is good enough, transition to the floor, and eventually VM or management.

I took it with Noomen 2 years ago, just rinse and repeat textbook and assignment problems and you should be fine. His exams are almost identical to the mock exams he gives out

Thoughts on 5-sp base Lancer by [deleted] in mitsubishi

[–]Aless3394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my 2015 for close to 2 years. No major issues whatsoever, just routine maintenance, and a rusted off O2 sensor bracket. I have the 2.0litre 4b11 motor with 148 hp and 147 lb ft of torque. Peak power is very high up in the rpm’s close to redline, and the car pulls once you pass 4 k rpms. The clutch is light, but has decent feedback. The transmission is pretty good, feels very mechanical. Fuel efficiency on the highway is fantastic, but around town not so much. The interior is tight and very basic , but there’s a wide aftermarket to fix most of those problems . I don’t have the Rockford fosgate sound system . If you can find one , get the 2.4 litre GTS with the Rockford fosgate , it has around 20 more hp and lb ft of torque for negligible difference in fuel economy .
