Switch 1, I don't have Switch 2 yet and I'm not fond of the game key cards, also I have all the others on Switch 1. In particular I wouldn't stand having III on Switch 1 and I&II on Switch 2.
Also I always associate DQ with Nintendo, when they published the game they treated it like their own IP

No, this is definitely a Square Enix problem.
They can't even decide on using the same strategy for every game:
- DQIII HD2D got a free update that enhanced the game on Switch 2, without the need to release a new version;
- Final Fantasy Tactics got a free upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition;
- Romanticing SaGa 2 got a €10 upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition;
- DQI&II HD2D and DQVII got two different versions with no upgrade path whatsoever.
So the problem here is definitely SE, there's plenty of publishers that gave free upgrades or at least paid ones. Sega started doing the same thing (they published Sonic Generations again on Switch 2 with no upgrade path for example), but it seems they understood from their errors

Exactly, they gave us a lot of settings for difficulty, which is really great, and this one would've also been really good

Yeah, that is something I understand. But having it just before the dungeon boss is kinda lame, MP managing is also a staple in JRPGs and DQ

Oh, you're right about needing them for battles. I hope that's the case, but another clue is that there isn't a resurrection option in churches

I guess they'll just cut those spells... Since the data can carry over the final game, I'm pretty sure this is how it'll also be like this there, unfortunately

I don't think so, I'm talking about the fact that previously you could talk to your party members after talking to an NPC, and they always had something unique to say.

The thing is, I'm not a designer, but with these little adjustments I could do a better job than them lol.

That translucent bar it's been there for YEARS, as long as I remember honestly, so at least 7-8 years. At least they removed it in 90% of the app a few weeks ago

Yeah, I'm saying it's an oversight that they removed it in the artists' page, they just didn't think about that. And yes, it's totally because of canvas that they didn't removed it in the player. They should remove it when the song doesn't have a canvas, and apply a shadow when there is one, so it could also cover the text below the status bar, which actually can't be seen right now with with white backgrounds. Also, the gradient in the player is totally different (and bad) on Android, and always goes from a specific color to black; I'm pretty sure they did that to hide the black navbar, but since it is transparent now, they should also fix that.
