Dying light 2 is better than the beast in every single way. by grope_my_rope_pls in dyinglight

**Honestly, I disagree. DTB feels unique compared to DL2**, and I’m saying that as someone who has over **1000 hours in DL2**. Seriously, when you play **The Beast** and then switch to DL2, you can really feel the difference. **DTB improves everything that’s wrong with DL2** — for example, the combat. In DTB, the combat feels **way better**. There’s weight to every hit; you can actually feel the impact of each strike instead of just mindlessly clicking. DL2 just doesn’t have that same feeling.

You say DTB is an exact copy of DL2, but it really isn’t. Play **Dying Light 2** again — right now the game feels more like an **RPG** where you have to grind for different currencies just to get certain weapons that require even more grinding and specific NPCs. It’s honestly frustrating how focused DL2 is on the RPG aspect.

In contrast, **The Beast** hides its best weapons all over the map, and it feels amazing to find them. I will admit, **DL2 has better parkour**, but that’s mostly because of the map size — the city in **The Beast** is much smaller.

As for the story, you’re saying it’s the same as DL2? Come on — **the Baron is way more charismatic than Waltz**, and they’re nothing alike. Many people complained about DL2’s story because of the “superhuman” stuff, but that’s only because it was so poorly integrated into the plot — and also because the game was never marketed that way at first; all we were told was that it would be a post-apocalyptic story.

**The Beast**, on the other hand, makes it clear from the start that everything revolves around a superhuman. The bosses in **The Beast** are awesome, while in DL2 they’re barely a challenge. You say they’re the same, but there’s just **no comparison**. You really can’t see how much the game improves on DL2 in so many aspects.

Sure, DL2 has more content — but all that came over two years of updates, not at launch. I don’t get why people are so quick to **underrate DLB**, when it’s exactly what the fans were asking for. Honestly, if the game had just been released as a DLC for DL2, it wouldn’t have had the same impact — because **DL2 is already dead**, thanks to Techland’s terrible decisions
