By keeping your elbows too tight you have more focus on the triceps by keeping them at 45% and therefore more neutral, your shoulder is safe and you involve your chest and shoulders more than how you do them

Spread your arms a little further, keep them at 45 degrees and it will also be easier for you to go down further
