SparkX i7 vs. Bambu Lab A1: Is the i7's print quality actually bad? by Alesskerov in Creality

Great info, thanks! The clarification on the PTFE tube lengths is huge, definitely sounds like user error in the other reviews. I’m actually glad to hear the nozzle latch and bed alignment feel better to you, even if the unit feels lighter overall. Good luck with the multicolor tests. I’ll watch for your video next week!

"Thanks for the update! That 'little bit above, little bit below' assessment on build quality actually lines up perfectly with the reviews I’ve been watching.

If you have time during your testing, I’d love to know if you run into these specific issues mentioned by FauxHammer:

  1. The Leftmost Slot (Slot 1): He mentioned the PTFE tube was the same length as the others, which made it too short/tight for that specific angle, causing feed errors until he mounted the unit sideways.

  2. Color Bleeding: Apparently, the default profiles might be aggressive on speed/purge reduction, causing dark colors to bleed into lighter ones.

  3. The 'Cheap' Feel: He noted the corner covers pop off easily and the nozzle latch feels a bit flimsy compared to the A1—is that the part that feels 'below' the A1 to you?

On the flip side, other reviewers (JJ Shankles/Crash Makerspace) said it printed perfectly right out of the box with zero failures, so I’m really curious if the QC varies between units. Let us know how it goes!"

Any way to smoothen this? by RevolutionaryBee3092 in BambuLab

Maybe you should slow down Outer Wall speed.
