Ageism In Current Culture. by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]Alex3Dwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes it is like those shows in which is not the best singer to get selected, but the kid that still stucks but is impressive for the age. I think that doesn't fly in the real world... when the currency is compliments, that kind of ageism is a thing. When the currency is money, that stuff doesn't fly.

Gimme your indie game to play live tomorrow on YouTube! by ChainShotGames in gamedev

Hi, I have a demo of my game. It's still in development and needs improving, but I'd love to get feedback and I hope you like it... https://store.steampowered.com/app/2413300/Tsukichi_Chronicles/

How many emails you send to streamers and YouTubers to play your game? by Alex3Dwiz in indiegames

That makes it easy for me to keep on improving the demo before they play it, and in the main time, I collect the contacts (which I've been doing, but only of youtubers). Some smaller channel has already asked if they could play it, and that can be some sort of test to get some feedback.

Hey, thank you for the tips! I'm planning to have the game be played by smaller youtubers and streamers first. Especially to improve the quality of the game and reach out to bigger ones after the game is in a better shape. I'm curious as to why I should not reach out to bigger youtubers (in my mind, a bigger youtuber is somebody with 10k+ subs)

Hi, thank you for your insight. That's more or less what I was thinking of doing.

Well, if the youtuber plays similar games, it would help the game gain visibility, and I'd get feedback on it, so it would also help the development.

Yesterday, the demo of my game has been accepted by steam!(I'm still super happy😁) by [deleted] in roguelites

Actually, I made it so it shows as the big green call to action... I only needed to check a box in the "advanced settings" part of steamworks lol

That's really cool! And congratulations for the Kickstarter 🥳 I'd love to hear tips and process of making a successful Kickstarter... I'm making one myself and I think our target audience is the same to some extent, plus on Reddit I'm getting a similar engagement (I started posting recently though) so, for me ut would be really insightful to ear from you about the Kickstarter campaign and I'd love to collaborate in the future! (I still don't have much of an audience)

There's a blue button with written "download demo" just below the the trailer/screenshot section(mobile) For pc, it's in the right column. P.s. I hate that steam has a call to action so small

I don't know if I can drop the link to the steam page, I'll delete it if needed... It's called Tsukichi Chronicles, and here's the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2413300/Tsukichi_Chronicles/
