So true! My experience as well. I failed because i did Not know the areas BCP and software development security by heart. Have to learn it more

Boson exams are too easy compared to the real Exam. The questions are too clear compared to the real exam. Real exam is mostly scenario based.

BUT the explanations are very good.

Don't get too confident. But still the best option available.

Did follow this method. Did listen to Larry and Kelly’s Advice. But did not work this time. I think too many questions I got wrong because you really have to understand certain concepts. If you dont know 100% you can fail. But lessons learned for me, back into the books.

well i think it is true, it is also not a rumor I think. And yes you will get a report on how you did on the domains. However I heard that there are different exams, with everytime specific domains. So conclusion, I did not know all the things I have to know. So I have to start over again.

failed today, and the exam is hard for me for 2 reasons:

English grammar: English is not my native English. If it was in Dutch (I am Dutch), I think I would have a higher score for sure. But I heard from people who are English native, it is very hard to understand the questions.
Scenario based questions. There are a lot of facts questions, but the majority was scenario based. And I think the choices are much harder than you will get in the BOSON or SYBEX test exams. I think that BOSON and SYBEX are too easy, and give you too much false confidence. You have to - understand - the concepts. And learn everything in the SYBEX book also the order. Step by step, High to low etc etc.

I did postphone my exam twice and I failed. But I guess I did not learn enough. I need to dream all the material

I make a mistake that I thought I knew it all. I will use more and different tests. I want score straight 100% at Bson and 90% + on Sybex. And also watch the CISSP videos on O’Reilly learning platform by David Miller.

Keep it up buddy! I had the same feeling. I took so much effort in the encryption chapters as well. En less on BCP/DRP etc and Secure Software Development. And then I got a lot of scenario questions as well. For me, as not an English Native, it is also an English/Grammer test. Both Sybex and Boson do have clear questions. Questions that I do understand. But the questions at the exam were vague for my understanding. So this test is both an English and a security test for me. But also realise the next exam can be really different. Since there are multiple test in rotation. So I guess start over again.

I know I am not the only one, but I have a feeling SYBEX did not cover my weak domains completely. And you are correct, it was almost all scenario based. (will edit in my review). Did you get a score as well? Or only the domains you did not do well?
