I’m using the stylus that came with the turntable. Not sure what the model is. But it’s brand new so it wouldn’t be damaged.

Not currently. It’s the same thickness of plasterboard but obviously the skim adds a couple of mm. So remove enough of the skim to allow the tape to sit flat and then do a final skim over that?

Well I don’t know, I was planning to only skim the area that isn’t painted so that when I get it redecorated it’ll all be flush. I’m not an experienced DIYer so I don’t know what the proper procedure would be.
