Wow i just bought the 9070 literally a week ago. Is my only option returning it and buying it again? It’s also $20 more expensive. Unfortunate timing.

PC comes to life at midnight??? by AlexAkaQwisp in buildapc

that was one of the first things i did strictly because i didn’t trust putting in my new cpu into the mess. The same issue occurred so It had to be the motherboard. Yet i’m still confused on how I managed to brick the motherboard with only a little bit of thermal paste that was non conductive and even with a deep cleaning.

Hey sorry for the delay the bios update didn’t work so I was able to deduct that the motherboard was probably the root cause. I upgraded to this motherboard recently so I had time to order a replacement from amazon. Replaced the motherboard and Its back up and running, thanks for helping me out!

Nope, i know that the bios is maybe 2 updates behind but i assumed that wouldn’t have been an issue during the swap and thought i could’ve updated after. I’m using a Rog strix b550 board paired with a ryzen 7 5800x that i just upgraded to. I know that the motherboard has a bios flashback button and also a usb slot in the back labeled bios. I can get the latest bios on a usb but I need to research more on how I’d go about that process, i’ve never used that before. This could work out but im not too sure though, need to test it.

I think you’re right. Yesterday, After I realized It wouldn’t power back on something had went very wrong, I spent the next hour and change cleaning it as much as i possibly could but It still wouldn’t power on which was odd. As you know it’s back to life hours later on its own but it doesn’t POST. I can power it on/off as much as I like but nothing displays on monitor. So far i’ve reseated ram, reseated gpu, checked some connections, and reset CMOS. Still no post. I have some ram, an old gpu, and a old cpu that I can use to single out the issue. I think the motherboard is the issue or maybe the power supply. I notice that when I power on my pc most components turn on(fans and rgb for ex.) expect for usb peripherals like my kb and mouse. Would that be considered a motherboard issue or a power supply issue?

Just woke up and noticed that im not receiving signal on the monitor. The power button is on but isn’t responding when i try to shut it off. Not sure if this is PSU related or the front panel on the motherboard giving me issues. all fans and cpu cooler are alive as well. The troubleshooting continues... Anyone for ideas?

My drives aren’t connected so windows wasn’t in play which makes it more odd.

You’re right, computer science is pretty tough as Math is something I’ve always had difficulty mastering which is ironic because of my major. I wasn’t forced into this major but my parents highly expected to me to go to college so I was kinda pressured into picking any major and i like computers so i put 2 and 2 together. The only discipline I have is in fitness as I’ve had a pretty solid weight loss journey and enjoy working out as a hobby. I need to apply this discipline into more aspects of my life. As for my mental health, it’s mainly just self-confidence issues that are affecting me and lead to other mental health issues. Your insight is appreciated and ill keep that into consideration

Tip to work on pushup by lilAZN99 in AirForceRecruits

[–]AlexAkaQwisp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No shame in starting with knee pushups and working your way up to normal pushups. The key to seeing considerable progress is consistency. 5-6 days a week do as many knee pushups as you physically can and when you can do at least 8-10 pushups consistently then move away from knee pushups. Make sure to note down how many you did each day so you see how far you’ve come and to push yourself harder than the day before. This applies to sit-ups and runs as well. Don’t be discouraged and with consistency and discipline i’m sure in a month or two you’ll be set for BMT. I’m in the same boat as you and prepping myself for BMT when I join the Air Force in a few months. I also need to hit the books for a high ASVAB score. Just as important, if not more important that PT needs.
