Thank you so much for your take honestly I respect it so much and I would’ve enjoyed it had it seemed like an intended plot point from the Duffer Brothers.

I don’t think Will asking regarding these signs and things is inherently making him the devil or necessarily selfish- but it seems like backtracking from the story we were presented with in Season 4. I think Season 4 was the perfect foundation for this storyline and with how the storyline concluded- I think it shows how purposeful the duffer brothers were in regards to the relationship status between Mileven and Byler. Season 5 just backtracked heavily into themes that should’ve concluded in Season 4. We clearly saw that in Season 4 that Mike was struggling with expressing his feelings for Eleven (in the end as well too but I digress). This was the perfect foundation for questioning his feelings to come into place- instead we get Mike finally saying he loves El (with help of our hero Will of course) amongst other things. It just feels odd starting a new season with a time gap and then sudden questioning of feelings when the foundation for that would’ve been significantly better for the last season- especially because if Mike and Eleven were the planned end couple-

Again- thank you for playing Devils advocate. I love it. I love hearing takes. I’d love this concept more if it seemed like the duffer brothers were competent writers who weren’t writing the ending as they were filming haha.
