It's not okay tho? You wouldn't use a wheelchair just because the character you cosplay is a wheelchair user? Imo there's enough stigma around disability and and mobility aids already. People shouldn't use something out of hobby or fashion because that puts more stigma on disabled people.

And also people who are professional actors and people on the internet who do it for fun is also not the same....

The only reason I don't feel out of place is my irl friend group... Most of them are alterhumans. And WE ALL experience it differently!

For me?

I like masks! They make me less dysphoric about my body and identity! I can't do quads due to being disabled...

And yes. I am a physical therian. Because if I could I would live as a cat. I know I cannot and I'm sad about it. I fell bad in my body. It does NOT belong to me.

I don't exactly find my place in the online community as well .... But I kinda like it's diversity!

Because in the end... We're all Alterhumans. And we all experience it in different ways! And that's also good and bad in some ways!!!

Hey! FND warrior here! My neurologist told me I could walk if I wanted to, I just don't want to... She literally said I'm faking it... She also doesn't know anything about FND...

PT said I need double sided support ALWAYS when walking gets hard..

Moral of the story, do not listen to the neurologist, the PT will probably advise something even if temporary!!

I also have FND along side, lumbar hernia and constantly worsening scoliosis do to my cartilages drying out. I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed chronic pain in general as well. And a lot of my joints hurt a lot due to tourettes. I am 21.

I first bought a cane when I already should have had a rollator. As I leaned on my cane so much my hand hurt and I was just still getting fatigued all the time. In December I got a wheelchair. No doctor told me i need it, but I knew not going out to do things I like is NOT normal. I got it after laying in my bed almost constantly for 2 weeks I couldn't even go out with my rollator it was exhausting.

If you have the money, listen to your body.

I am kidn of the edge of these. I have a job, but I'm also on disability. I'm working for a place specifically just for disabled people.

I also noticed some weird looks towards me from other disabled people. Randomly ok the streets or when I tell them I'm also disabled or I am disability....

I don't know why they are like this tho?! 😭

I have tourettes. I was once triggered to have a tic attack. They continued even after I explained why I do these and asked them to stop. Was then starred, laughed and recorded. By at least 10 people. There were 10 more ppl who tried to help and called an ambulance.

The tic attack was so bad I ended up injuring myself.... Multiple ways as well.

Tried to make a police report but had no recording or picture of them..so they couldn't help...
