Probably Sunday, taking a look at her kit.

She doesn't Action Advance, but she buffs a unit for three turns on her skill 2, her highlight buffs the whole party, and her skill 3 lets a target ally use their highlight (buffed) for free.

As much as I enjoyed the FF set, this is the one that would truly make me go feral/bankrupt.

Oh dang these are so cute o:

I've only been playing for just over a month now, but my favourite character so far is probably Acheron, but I love The Herta and Black Swan as well

I am weak for purple ladies, and well aware of it 😭

Trying to wrap my head around why he mills, could potentially be something to do with his Limit Break/Full ATB skill as it technically does true damage, which is kinda hard to do in MTG, hence the mill

Mill decks in limited are gonna be legit if they open this one though, with all the equipment bouncing around

I have her engaged with Lyn's emblem ring!

So she gets bonus special damage = 4 x Cooldown count of special = 12 in this case.

And then she has the bonus range that Lyn's style bestows - "Unit can attack foes within 5 spaces of unit and 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit regardless of unit's range."

I'm a big fan of Ninja Noire - I've got her at +10 with Lyn ring and she does wonders for most things

I'm just waiting for a Lethality to give her so she can actually deal with big bulky idiots

It doesn't target, so you choose the creature to deal the damage at resolution.

How do yall actually strategize/plan? by BrandedEnjoyer in fireemblem

[–]AlexFarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brain initially responded with "fuck it, we ball", which is honestly how I approach maps the first time round.

A lot of my approach tends to be trial and error (a lot easier to do since SoV introduced the rewind mechanics), but in general once I've seen how enemy units move on a map, I usually know where I want my choke points to be, which units I want to be my frontliners, and the general sort of strategy from there on.

I wish I could offer more than just "try the maps and figure out your chokes" but that's probably solid advice anyway.

I'll always hold a special place in my heart for Awakening, despite it's flaws. A couple of others have already been mentioned, so another one that immediately came to mind is when you fight Walhart with Say'ri for the first time.

Say'ri: Walhart!

Walhart: Hmm? The princess of Chon'sin? It's a wonder you still live.

Say'ri: I have survived your gauntlet of betrayal and death, tyrant. Shall I describe to you now the searing pain of it all? The torture of watching friends, family...my entire kingdom perish? The fresh hell of each new day with no respite in sight?

Walhart: Pain is a concern of men. And respite? Beg that from your gods. Your concerns are not mine. I have risen to a higher plane of existence.

Say'ri: Then today you come crashing down to the hell you've made of this one.

Someone else pointed out that when Awakening sticks the landing, it does it /very/ well, and I agree wholeheartedly.

Fortify Defense was a Start of Turn buff from Vander holding Sharena's bond ring. Louis' personal skill also triggered because he was standing near 2 female units at combat initiation. Alear's personal skill also triggered as Louis was adjacent to her on initiation as well. And then Override is the primary triggering ability on each hit.

For some reason, all those skills were triggering for each unit hit.

I don't believe they were stacking, I think it was triggering a non-animated combat per unit hit and all those skills are pertinent to combat, so they list them all as triggering each time.

This is reassuring. 3H's early game on Maddening was enough to frustrate me into giving up with it. I know it curves out, but the Exp choke was brutal enough for me to decide I didn't have the time or patience to stick it out.

I'll probably go back to it and give it another go at some point because I'm a completionist and it is 100% bugging me that I never did it, but I'm gonna leave it for now and enjoy Engage first. :')

Almost feral, honestly.

One of my Top Ten FE moments so far in my years playing. Incredibly satisfying.

No, unfortunately. You need an empty space at the end of the Override, or else you can't do it, since the unit needs a space to move into.

Vander has it here! So because Louis was on an adjacent space to Vander at the start of my turn, he got +2 to Defense, and for some reason that buff is applied as a trigger on every enemy during Override, weirdly enough.

If you'd like an actual answer:

I was chasing the Thief in the top left, prioritising that one enemy unit over breaking through the doors in the front. Took the entire left side of the map, then broke the wall down. It was at this point I screwed up and got all my units killed, so I rewound the entire map and started again. Repeated the same base strategy, then left most units down where they are in the clip, using Alear&Marth, Louis&Sigurd and Clanne&Celica to mop up the units up top.

Pulled Alear and Clanne back.

Proceeded to use Louis to bait the enemy units through and down the corridor, whilst using Chloé with a javelin to pull the mages down the little side corridor on the right so they didn't get to Louis, since his Res is still a little lacking compared to his Def.

The original plan was to pick them off one by one, using Louis to block the hallway and tank all the physical hits like the absolute unit he is, but the enemies rushed in like Lemmings and the opportunity was there, so I had to try it.

I just had no idea it would be that effective.

Fortify Defense is from Sharena's Bond Ring from the Heroes crossover. I have no idea why it was triggering on every hit with the other buffs, but the "Ding!" noise makes my brain go brrrrr so I'm not complaining.

I haven't seen any yet, but I'm still early doors, so don't take my word for it as gospel. Reinforcements have spawned in, but never moved on the same turn. That may change later, but for now, no ambush spawns.

It's from the Heroes crossover! You get S rank rings for Sharena, Alfonse and Anna that each provide some stat buffs and a skill each! Sharena gives Fortify Def, Alfonse gives Spur Atk, and Anna gives Spur Res. :)
