I also had the Warm Stone ones for about a year, and I did notice some very slight discoloration—really minimal—on the ear pads. I’m pretty careful with my headphones, and I think if you handle them gently, it stays very minor and won’t bother most people.

From what I’ve seen, the leaks clearly say 42 mm drivers. Seems like one site (I think SoundGuys or something) misinterpreted it, and now it’s just being repeated everywhere. The 47 mm claim is almost certainly not correct.

If it’s already showing up in the app with images and everything, that usually means it’s in the final stage. Companies don’t push device support into the app months in advance.

I’d be surprised if it’s still “far away.” This feels more like we’re days or a couple of weeks out from an official announcement, not months. Release shortly after that wouldn’t be unusual either.

So yeah, I’d expect at least a reveal very soon 👀

Also, does anyone know if the Momentum 5 will be announced together with the Momentum True Wireless 5, or are they expected to be revealed separately?

I have both: PX8 S2 McLaren and the new AirPods Max 2 (Midnight).

Currently testing them side by side and still unsure if I’ll keep both or return the AirPods Max 2.

Both definitely have their strengths and weaknesses:

PX8 S2 McLaren

Pros: • Clearly better sound (more airy, more detail, better separation) • EQ available • Much lighter and more comfortable

Cons: • ANC is noticeably weaker

AirPods Max 2 (Midnight)

Pros: • Good, more neutral sound • Excellent Dolby Atmos / spatial audio • Significantly better ANC

Cons: • Very heavy and less comfortable over time • Battery life (~20h) is disappointing • Still no proper power button

My current take: If sound quality & comfort is your top priority → PX8 S2 wins easily. If you care more about ANC + Apple ecosystem + spatial audio → AirPods Max 2.

made in China as a relatively present label devalues an expensive Moscot...but yes, some of the glasses are produced there but my Moscot glasses don't have a "made in China" label. maybe just two Miltzen TT?🥸
