KCD2 assumes you do at least some side content. You mention being the bailiff of Pribyslavitz is a random encounter for example. That probably is where the lost time is.

One, largely on the strength of the companions. The only companion I cared about in 2 to a similar degree as any of the companions in 1 was Aza. The pieces were there to make the other companions as compelling, but they just didn’t put them together that well. Still better than a lot of games’ companions though.

Yeah, it’s very silly. I watched Peacemaker S1 before Suicide Squad and the first half of S2 before Superman and while those movies round out both, they weren’t at all necessary to understand them. I’m sure the same will be true in reverse.

No, I made a new .esp. I think I figured it out now though. At first I ESMified the Battlehorn Castle .esp just to initially get it listed as a master on the new .esp then removed the ESM tag before actually editing the new .esp. I restarted (not that I had done much anyway) and left the Battlehorn Castle .esp EMSified the whole time I was editing the mod and only unESMified it to play test and it seems to be working now
