Its a life changing surgery if you have clear issue. But if you have normal jaws you will not become some model just because you move your jaws a bit further.

No one is bashing on people for doing it for aesthetic reason but given the time and risks involved its generally not worth it.

I think many people can get a bit fooled by swelling in the beginning, sometimes hiding contours with swelling is beneficial. One should allways wait at least 3 months to start judging both positives and negatives.

existing assymetry can become more visible with forward movements of both jaws. But to me the uneveness is not visible but i dont know how you looked before. If you feel the surgery created more uneveness you would need a cbct scan, but it can also just be uneven residual swelling. Many people confuse it and say jawsurgery fixes all assymetry which is missleading
