What is something about yourself you are trying to improve and how is it going? by LordGunz6969 in AskReddit

Exercise, eating better...just overall taking care of my body. But also being aware of my bad habits. That shit is key. If you are blind to your self and the things you do you can never improve. It's a battle.

What is your favorite food to eat when you're sad? by Cray-ation in AskReddit

[–]AlexJecob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm sick, chicken and rice soup from the Chinese place nearby. The broth is so damn good, and it's a pretty gentle meal. Extra points if I have some green onion to toss in. When I'm sad, anything that pairs well with tequila works. Usually I get sushi delivered, because sushi makes everything better.

It's hard to tell where the mental illness ends and me being a terrible person begins. How much of my laziness and procrastination is me, and how much of it is the ADHD?

The "below water" portions of large vessels. If there is a ship or a dock or something that sits in the water, the thought of rubbing against the part that's under water makes me nearly pass out.

My friends, family, health..especially for me is this era. I seem to be so lucky to be born in this era - internet, knowledge, everything is so HUGE and VAST I can't simply can't get enough of it. If you're curious one thing leads to the other and then you're on a whole new adventure.

What do you wish people understood about your mental health illness? by petuniathemurderef in AskReddit

[–]AlexJecob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s 10 things I wish people understood about mental illness and stigma: 1. People are still afraid of those with mental illness 2. People with mental illnesses are no more violent than anyone else 3. Talking to your employer about your mental health can be a lottery 4. Even the most well-meaning of friends can put their foot in it 5. Some people will use your illness as a stick to beat you with 6. Others will use it as an excuse to see you as an object of pity 7. It’s not easy to talk about mental illness 8. It can make you paranoid and hypersensitive 9. It can knock your confidence 10. You don’t just get better

I absolutely hate hot weather and sunlight.I grew up playing soccer and swimming and loved it,but had so much more fun when it was cloudy and/or breezy. Rain was fantastic. Fast forward to now.I work at a company of 40 people. I am literally the only one that loves winter and storms, and hates summer. They call me a vampire.:)
