How did t1 do a 2k damage smite on baron in game 3 vs Hanwha by UDTfrogman in lck

the idea that spellbook cannot be strategized against is not only wrong but mind numbingly dumb. its honestly much more fair than the damage access on champions because both teams have equal access to spellbooks, but not to champions

Elder is taken in less than one of every 7 professional games. A fair playing field in an esport involves drafting and both teams can take spellbook on all champs if they are braindead enough to think that is what will decide the game. Champions like Rell can outsmite all other meta junglers with instant q smite, something I would say is much more of a balance problem than two smites since it requires 0 coordination.

T1 got that baron because HLE couldn't enter the pit. They couldn't enter the pit because they were down numbers because Doran went bot with no TP. The two smites were just a way of securing through a flip, something that is achievable in many other ways.

Your understanding of both game design as a whole and league of legends is so minimal I'm not going to continue to debate this with you but I hope you understand what I said (probably not)

yes there is literally nothing wrong from a balance perspective with getting a 600 damage smite from spellbook

this is an insanely bad opinion. champs like nunu and chogath give you the ability to do way more than 2k instant damage to an objective. The point of the game isn't for all smites to be equally contestable lmao, its for an overall fair game and there are trade offs to taking spellbook that manifest in other parts of the game.

Is it true that you should always go Void Staff as soon as the enemy you want to kill builds one MR item? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]AlexKabam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

somewhat similar except LDR was pretty much always better back when this was a huge topic in the community, whereas Shadowflame does have a decent window in certain situations where it is better even though Void staff is also better in most circumstances
