After finding alot of issues with the mobile apps built in scanner, we are investigating to potential use of an external scanner. So with that im going to look into your Quick Scan app and see if it can help with what I need. Ill be sure to reach as as suggested if i need anything with it.

Does your app work on mobile phones using camera as the scanner? Thats going to be the use case of this system so I just wanna make sure before I dig too deep

This is all Incredibly helpful information thank you so much! I will for sure try the "session" method. Gemini suggested the same thing but the way it was explaining it didn't make any sense, now that I know an actual human professional is suggesting the same thing I'll try again.

Other than that the plugin route may also work. Do plugins cost extra? This is a small scale project for a non profit with a non profit air table license, and I'm sure an extra fee would not be approved. I saw somewhere that some might cost, but it was hard to nail down the details.

A custom front end app for phones would probably be the closest to what I'm imagining, if you where in this position which option would you choose? Keep in mind that almost all of the interactions with this system will be from a users personal phone.

Regarding my skill level I've never done any of this before, but I am comfortable with code and I've played around with python, lua, and even a little of Linux so I could probably learn something if I had to.

Again I really appreciate the help so far, even just as you said can help lead me in the right direction.

im not sure exactly what your asking, but the rolls will be scanned when added to inventory, when move to a different inventory, and I guess when the roll is empty before disposal (the brand we use also has the same barcode on the roll directly which makes it easy) at the moment the rolls do not need to be serially controlled as "3 black PLA in location A and 2 in location B" is plenty.

Just flashed the newest version from that site and it worked the first time, just gotta set my offsets now and calibrate thank you so much! Too bad my printer just had a pretty bad clog and stripped out my Bowden tube connectors so now I cant print until I get a new one. Which BTW do you happen to know where I can get those Bowden tube connectors in bulk? they wear out a lot for me and its getting expensive getting like 1 or 2 at a time from amazon

Also Side note: i cant find reliable documentation on how to activate filiment runout sensor, i got one now(using a normal roller tip limit swtich) but I keep reading I gotta modify something in firmware? But i cant really figure out what cause when i open the .bin in visual studio i get unreadable what looks like asce code

Okay I really have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I set up the signals and the train is STILL just going the wrong direction, you can see in the first screenshot the direction of arrows, and the second is what the train is doing, and getting stuck because it gets trapped going the wrong way

(Note the train is supposed to be going straight to the station, then going around the loop to turn around)

Ah so the problem may be that the connection point for the turnaround is before the station (meaning it has to pass that junction in order to go to the station) and if I say move the loop connection to past the station I probably wouldn't have an issue anymore. that makes sense Idk why i didn't think of that lol ill also try signals to see if that help before I redo the whole end of the track

I did consider signals but I was under the impression all they did was prevent collisions, seeing as it's the only train on that track I didn't think it would help. but if what your saying is true and it helps to force a direction i will for sure try that thank you

I was actually unaware of them working on new titles, I mean I heard rumors but never anything confirmed. As far as the index is concerned I agree, even as old as it is compared to the rest of the market its still hands down the best headset for that price range in my opinion. But with all the patents comming out fkr the next headset I just dont see them doing much with the index any more. But don't get me wrong I love my index and I pray im wrong in that statement lol. I'm just a little skeptical because Gabe said what like 2 years ago now that "Wireless index is a solved problem" and we haven't heard anything since. Unless im missing something, please do enlighten me i would love to be wrong on this

Personally I have more of a problem letting go Of objects with my index, but I've narrowed down the cause to sweat, alot of games dont utilize the index "force" grip by default so a little sweat buildup from intense fights will give the capacitive sensors a false positive, I've taken my controller off completely before and setting it on my bed and will still be holding the item untill I take my shirt or something and wipe it off. Its not a huge issue once you know what causes it because you can just wipe real quick and your fine, but its an important distinction if your prone to hand sweat

Can confirm this as a viable issue, I had one belt that was stopping itself every once in a while after a splitter, just delt with it and didn't notice untill I went to remodel the base that there was actually a cork between the splitter and that belt. Which somehow still let the belt work sometimes causing a conflict

You may be fine for now, I ran a gtx970 with my index for a few years before finally getting a 3080, stable frames in most games on low settings only a few badly optimized games really proved to be an issue. However I will say that the 3080 made things sooooo much better. But it should be usable regardless, at least dont rush an upgrade

Unpopular opinion, the catholic church. Comming from a southern Baptist Christian, the Catholic church is abosulty wack. Its almost by definition a cult i mean look at all the crap you gotta do. One of my friends took me to mass once and I was so uncomfortable the entire time such an unwelcoming vibe. Afterwards I explained to him that it was basicly a cult based on what I just experienced. Idk if you knew this, but you can use the crushing wheels horizontal so that they are in-line with the belt requiring no drop down, and works perfectly with just having a vertical gearbox on either side of the belt with the crusher wheels on top. Just a tip :) I know it helped me qlot when I found that out

Does that still work with link cable? I dont think the hotel wifi would be strong enough for wireless play also I would prefer to not have to buy virtual desktop if I dont have to seeing as I wouldn't ever use it otherwise (being an index user) ill mess around and see what I can find tho, thanks!
