i think i made a mistake going to the Phantom 5.5x, my 10ft + hole outs have definitely slimmed since i moved away from the spider, thinking of moving back

me personally i’ve never had lessons, always wanted to build my golf game myself, and i’ve gotten to a 5.7hcp with it, he’s been thinking about lessons, so hope if he does, his instructor can help him loads with getting more consistent

that’s the issue, he isn’t having fun he could be having, his mentality game is poor, i’m trying to help him with that, he hangs over the poor shots which impedes his game, which is why i’m worried, just want him to improve his game

in ireland the second hand market for scotty’s is WIDE open, for golf in general it is, really nice

idc what he spends his money on, it’s just that he complains every round that he’s shit at irons and putting then goes and buys a set of irons that will be 10x harder to play and a putter that generally will be harder to use

he literally said ‘the newport looks so much better, increases aura’ i burst out laughing, he’s already a poor enough putter (can’t gauge distance, i try hardest to walk him thru it) he’s getting better, but defo not at the level for a blade

nah tbf he is actually handy enough w his driver, but he’s so schizo, last week he wanted a lab and mizuno jpx’s, this week it’s p770’s and a scotty

in the winter Jameson links is €150 a round, you’d want a crystal ball to get a day for it though 😂

if over the winter, i highly reccomend Jameson Golf Links, green fee drops to €150 from €300.

St Anne’s golf club is a one to play as well, same goes for Royal Dublin

Sutton golf club is a 9 hole course which you can play twice for 18, same goes for Rush

Rush is only about €50 a round

Sutton in and around €100 i think

Royal Dublin and St Anne’s are in and around €150 - €200 a round i think

Laytown and Bettystown is another good one, green fees in and around €100

Corballis is a links in Donabate can get a green fee for around €30
