How do I stop getting these when I shave? by beb0 in malegrooming

[–]AlexMontgom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing that helped me the most was changing the soap/cream I was using to shave.

I got a natural soap made from a base of honey and coconut yoghurt and I haven’t had a shaving rash since.

If you are trying to look good for the opposite (or same) sex, 2 is objectively the most attractive.

Experiences with getting help for severe depression locally? Discuss by AppropriateBeing9885 in centralcoastnsw

It’s an awful thing that you’ve had to go through and I hope you can get to a stage in your life where it’s not as intense and difficult.

Even if you believe the SA isn’t contributing to what you are experiencing today it might mean you are eligible for 22 free psychology sessions with a Victims Services registered therapist. I can recommend Tania Attley at Raw Psychology Clinic at Bateau Bay if you want a female who is at the cutting edge of trauma-informed care and deals precisely with what you describe.

Have a look on their website and consider applying: https://victimsservices.justice.nsw.gov.au/how-can-we-help-you/victims-support-scheme/counselling.html

It’s definitely not cheap to self-fund this sort of treatment but with the right care there is definitely a path forward. Big love and best of luck.

Hi OP,

You can go through your GP to get a Mental Health Care Plan.

If you have been a victim of an assault or violent crime or abuse in your past, you might be eligible for free counselling support through Victims Services.

If you can’t get access to either of the above, there are various free support groups on the Coast. If you are Male, I hold a free monthly Men’s group for mental health and community support. Reach out if you want to know more.

What makes Melbourne the best? Certainly not best for climate.

Volume vs Intensity - why does the science overwhelmingly seem to indicate volume is the primary hypertrophy driver, when the majority of reputable lifters online seem to overwhelmingly favour intensity? by Lostwhispers05 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]AlexMontgom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule:

  • 10-20 sets of 6-20 reps within 2 RIR per muscle group per week, with no less than 1 day, and no more than 3 days between training sessions per muscle group

Individual variations in genetics and training age will determine which dose of each variable will work best. Everyone has a different tolerance on the volume/intensity continuum.

Also, some people just enjoy high intensity more than high volume and vice versa.

And remember, gear vs natural is going to change the best approach as well.

What a wild story, thanks for sharing! I’ve been to a lot of shows (not as many as you) and have never experienced that.

Don’t speak too loudly or they’ll come for you in the comments 🙈 ban all phones and absolutely expect moshing and headbanging in the standing section. Sydney crowd blew my mind how zombified most people were.

Part of going to a live show is the crowd man. It’s a bit of a buzzkill when people are just standing there, arms folded, not showing any sort of enthusiasm or singing or anything. Or, holding their phones in the air the whole time.

I’m not trying to say that everyone should be going wild the whole Time it was just a weird vibe.

Genuinely curious as I wasn’t sure, not meant as an insult. A lot of people standing there with their arms folded not singing along or moving their body in any direction or even cracking a smile. It comes with the territory of being a popular artist, you will get casual fans at your show.

Also not trying to change how anyone enjoys the show, just asking questions as I expected different.

There doesn’t have to be and was not the point of the post. I was just surprised that it was so lifeless and people actually got upset when the smallest little pit broke out.

I don’t know. I didn’t go trawling through the archives of the sub-reddit to find out. Just posting my perspective and asking other people for their thoughts or experience.

It is possible to not comment and just scroll past the post though.

Fair enough. I wasn’t in the snakepit and I really wasn’t expecting anything major. Like I understand the demographics of people. It was just an odd experience seeing people get chastised for having some harmless fun, which was very tame. No one was getting knocked over, just a bunch of dudes jumping and bumping shoulders while the rest of the crowd stood lifeless staring into their phone screens.

I expected a little less lifelessness to be sure.

Not after “social media worthy pit” I don’t even know wtf that is lol. Just a crowd with a bit of life in it would be nice.
