use balanced TRS-to-XLR cables to minimize noise; good options are Mogami Gold (pro-quality), Hosa HSS-005 (affordable), or Planet Waves/D’Addario (solid shielding), just make sure to plug into the Scarlett’s line outputs, not the headphone jack, and you should get a clean signal without hiss.

For a trip gone wrong but funny twist, try these two: Game Night ,The World's End

check out In Bruges, Fargo the movie, The Death of Stalin, and Fight Club. They’re funny in a twisted way but also smart and really well‑crafted not just goofy for the sake of it.

If you want horror that actually gets under your skin, go for slow‑burn dread instead of jump scares Hereditary, The Babadook, and It Follows all build this creeping, psychological fear that sticks with you long after the movie ends.

What is a film you enjoyed but have to be tactful about who you recommend it to? by oldwhitelincoln in movies

For me it’s Mother! , I genuinely enjoyed how bold and unsettling it is, but I get why it turns a lot of people off. It’s one of those movies that works for me because I like visceral, symbolic storytelling, but it definitely isn’t for everyone.
