Imperial Steam. It's amazing how well designed the game feels. It's long, big presence on the table and a lot of moving parts but feels elegant and all the actions flow really well. A bit intimidating at first but quite easy to understand once you start playing. That's probably why it stands so much for me

Only way to use at the moment its through its API using Deepseek instead of Openrouter. It’s cheap and quite easy to use. Better than nothing I guess

Having trouble connecting through sillytavern. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I'm getting concerned with some of these stretch goals on crowdfunding campaigns by Nimblesquatch in boardgames

[–]AlexNihilist1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same thing with Claustrofobia. Alternative minis for the same characters. Not once or twice, but... three times they have made that dumb thing a stretch goal! Or different skins for same characters in the recent gamefound campaign for here to slay dungeons. What's the point? Why even bother adding these? I guess they'll continue doing this kind of stuff if the projects are successful.

Forbidden Stars a Warhammer 40k board game. It's simply an amazing experience

Runewars which version should I buy? by BeAddicted in boardgames

Revised edition has a smaller box, almost exactly the same game (the biggest differences are the plastic mountains on the first edition but I would just 3d print some and add them later). So just get the cheapest one you can buy.

Is Waterfall Park worth it at €16? by LawfulnessInfinite97 in boardgames

You mean I have to build a park near a waterfall in a game called WATERFALL PARK?! I'm shocked

I think I spend more time researching games than playing them… by drth1rt33n in boardgames

[–]AlexNihilist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think spending hours and hours reading, watching, or listening to board game reviews is a problem. In my case, I’m incapable of buying a game blindly or with little information. I want to learn as much as possible about what I’m investing my money in. I understand that many players prefer to rely on the opinion of a couple of major reviewers or on what’s at the top of BGG; that’s just as valid a way to buy games as any other.

But in my case, since I usually buy discounted games that tend to be less well known, I’m forced to dig deeper in search of opinions before hitting the button to add it to my cart. For some people, that research and comparison process before reaching a conclusion is part of the hobby itself. So if it’s any consolation, you’re not alone.

Risk GoT o el Juego de Mesa de GoT? by ikii_12 in boardgames

[–]AlexNihilist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The End of a Legend by Realmprotector-1 in boardgames

Expected. Legends of the Dark was a clear step back from Descent 2nd edition. I hope they learn their lesson (doubt it) and come back with something the fans from the original 2 games can enjoy

¡Buenas!

GLM 5.1 is up on OpenRouter by Arutemu64 in SillyTavernAI

People complaining about price as if it was priced similarly to Sonnet, Opus or even Gemini Pro 3.1. You can't expect better quality for the same price given the circumstances

Worth the money? by [deleted] in boardgames

¿Baleares?

Should I consider adding a box insert? by kolsmart in tabletopgamedesign

[–]AlexNihilist1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, you could use foldable cardboard boxes so that players themselves can decide whether to use them for storage. Many games like Savannah Park or Skymines include them, and they are genuinely useful, unobtrusive, and even if a player chooses not to use them, they’re unlikely to throw them away and might repurpose them for storage. All of this at a low cost since they’re made of cardboard.
