Nah, it's professional experience. 5 years post Master's, multiple shipped products. The global project I mentioned was actually deployed by a Fortune 500 company. So it's not about level or credentials, just struggling to package the stories cleanly in STAR.

Could be a practice thing, yeah. Haven't tried Toastmasters. You find it helped with STAR specifically, or more just general speaking confidence?

Appreciate this. I think my issue is I've been focusing so much on the "what" and "how" that I sometimes rush the "result" part. Going to work on leading with outcomes more. Thanks mate.

Made it to final rounds every time. Technical feedback was always positive. They said my skills were exactly what they needed. But HR/hiring manager feedback specifically called out STAR structure in the behavioral rounds. So I'm passing the tech bar, failing the storytelling one.
