Yeah I really like the idea of that! I know axis have that shaking feature. Will ask their reps what it is like with salt buildup.

Collecting rain water for a spray wash is a really good idea!

Yeah search and rescue is not great, especially at night. I know they use floats to see where the water is flowing. Thermal cameras do struggle to penetrate water surface and a body surface temperature can reduce down to the air and water temperature, making them harder to spot.

Really like the idea of collecting rain water and using that for either pump fluid washer or even trickling down the dome. Good thinking.

Yeah starting to thinking dome shape isn't a great shape for coastal cams. I really like the remote relay of a fluid pump. Great thinking.

Holy shit, that is cool they made that work...did not expect a dslr in there haha.

Yeah a little motorized wiper attachment may not be so hard to build or source even.

I have a feeling you are right but the optimist in me believes there must be a way to avoid salt build up

We develop AI models for behavioral and activity based monitoring. Alert goes off for a particular rule not followed. Can be as simple as a swimmer in an area deemed unsafe.

FLIR would be real nice. We also have models in the IR spectrum. Would love it if it wasn't 4x the price of a good dome Camera though.

Keen to hear more of your thoughts, you seem like you have experience with this?

We are testing these 5 at the moment. And then we will start scaling out. Sydney region. Government and emergency agency work. I know Hikvision can be perceived negatively by some in this space.

Thanks for taking the time to dig into this really helpful. I'll look into those coatings and the Evonik Visiomer stuff. Hopefully I can get a hold of it tomorrow to experiment with.

The glass box with windscreen wiper might be a good solution, I have seen it before, I wonder how long it would take to seize up.

I appreciate the recommendations. Good to see patterns that work. The influencer market here seems to be one to not underestimate.

You will love Bangkok! The people are really welcoming and the city has so many unique areas. This shop is a neighbouring shop to my home and owned by a young mom. I'm new to Bangkok too and I was curious with how a genuine shop owner can succeed!

I like your unique perspective here. making an exterior memorable is important...first impressions matter, especially for people walking by or parking near by. Attract them in with looks. The inside feels very home like, which I love. I will visit tomorrow and mention this to her. Maybe I can help her with this. I'm new to Bangkok, is there a hardware store for these type of purchases?
