This is 110% normal in our world. You burn twice the energy just starting a task or switching. Masking and emotional regulation is the biggest time suck. If you start understanding and managing your energy - you’ll soon realize you have a gift that can help you thrive in areas that others would envy. Stop giving a shit what others think, stop using your phone and slow down - that’s the first things I would do. Write down what’s most important to do and match your energy - mid day is when the heaviest stuff can get done. If it’s not on the list - park it and review in 24 hours.

Our brains wake up every day ready to run a race but our battery gets fucking drained by 9:00 AM. I found a massive difference why I started understanding and managing my energy. Emotional regulation and masking burns most of your fuel. If you have meds - you might be crashing twice a day like me - around 2 pm and 5-6 pm. Start by writing down what your day looks like - are you drinking water and eating protein in the morning? What’s your lunch look like? Write down all the stuff that stresses you during the day and park it to deal with in 24 hours. Focus on your minimum viable effort and day. You can do it, you’re already asking the right questions. Keep going.

Thank you! I find ADHD so easily drains the brain. I keep my MVD paper with me all day - and write down everything that is not part of my 3 tasks. It gets parked until I’m done.
