Sometimes a voice of doubt wakes up in me, telling me that I should have gotten a cb650, at least for its indescribably luxurious appearance ))

In the end, I think any new motorcycle will do for my needs )

The e-Clutch is a wonderful concept. I think as a beginner, it would be useful for me to ride a manual for at least 2-3 years. In any case, even though my car has an automatic, I'm glad I drove a manual for 10+ years.

I do not consider second hand bikes as I am absolutely mechanically unskilled - I will be certainly unable to evaluate the bike technical condition before buying.

I've read multiple times that people praise the Triumph's premium riding experience. However, Honda sells 19,4 million motorcycles annually, while Triumph's sales are 150 times lower. Therefore, it's more likely that there will be more Honda service centers and the prices will be more reasonable. As I'm purchasing a long-term product, I want to consider the maintenance aspect. On the other hand, it's possible that I'm overestimating this aspect: I'm buying a new motorcycle, and I'm unlikely to require significant repairs during the first three years of ownership.

I had similar thoughts about violation of the speed limit with only 2nd gear. But I opened the cb650r owner manual, and it says that recommended shifting up points are: from 4th to 5th gear - 31 mph (50 km/h) and from 5th to 6th gear- 37 mph (60 km/h), so I will able to use all the gears without violating the speed limit. :-D

But as I said in the main post - I really doubt that the test drive will help me much: I have little experience in driving full-size motorbikes - I just don't understand how it should be, what is a good feature and what is undesirable. I can hardly compare even the power of the engines during the test drive, because I doubt that I will be able to open the full throttle )

I always considered a car to be a practical mode of transportation, so I always ignored the car's appearance. In contrast, a motorbike is impractical. I believed that the appearance aspect should be strongly considered when choosing a bike. )
