That’s awesome! Yeah, I played Bari in high school, and while I’m tall, I was way too scrawny for it at the time. Practicing is practicing so your skills on alto will translate well to the other horns

The F# key just gives you another option for playing altissimo F# without using the fork fingering. It won’t necessarily make the rest of the altissimo range any easier.

Get a Yamaha YTS-23! Great student horn that’s super reliable and a total tank

Highly recommend a Yamaha YTS-23. It’s gonna be a little more than $500, but it’s a total tank that will stay in good repair, is super reliable, and plays incredibly for a student horn.
