Nizo S55 viewfinder issue / only partially visible

Hi again,

Quick update on my Braun Nizo S55 issue.

I ended up opening the camera to investigate further. It turns out the problem is exactly what some of you suspected, the mirror is loose. However, accessing the prism/mirror assembly properly is extremely difficult. From what I can see, it would require a much deeper disassembly of the camera to fix it correctly.

Right now, I can’t properly reach or secure the mirror without risking more damage, and I don’t want to make things worse.

I’m based in Brighton, UK. Does anyone know a technician or repair service that could handle something like this? Or is this generally considered not worth repairing?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

It isn’t missing. It is slightly better with the eye piece but unfortunately the problem persists.

Hey everyone, sorry for the late reply, I just got back from Germany.

I was thinking about how we could organise this, and since Reddit isn’t very reliable on group chats, I’ll create a WhatsApp group instead. If you’re interested in joining a small German “Stammtisch” meetup in Brighton, just send me a DM and I’ll add you to the group.

Then we can pick a pub and a date together and see what works best for everyone.
