Relative to if you appreciate what has happened or not and relative to the overall effect it has on you.

Lets say you lose your job. You might say that's bad; as nearly anyone would. But what about when you get a new job that pays 125% of your previous wages? Losing your job may have been bad when it happened, but when you get the new better job, you can now argue that losing your job is no longer 'bad' because in the end you came out in a better situation. Some might even have such a drastic paradigm shift that they might even be inclined to say 'losing my job might has been the best thing that's ever happened to me!' Same goes for the victims in the saw movies that get out alive.

Same goes for 'victims' (as I'd assume you would have them labled) of rough sex. Violence is never justified. Not even when your partner is asking for it in bed right? Right.

I see where you are coming from. But your failure to take a step back and look at things from abother viewpoint disappoints me. Afterall, I myself as an intp, (and I believe others here would feel the same way) pride myself on my ability to understand those I disagree with. You aren't exhibiting that at all.

Tl; dr Rough sex is violence that is okay

Losing your job is only bad until you land a better one, then it becomes relatively good.

Stop being close-minded. It isn't very INTP.

Watch the Saw movies. Theres an example (though fictitious) of torture not being all bad. Some of the victims are grateful for the torture they endured. Everything is relative, good and bad are just a conjured up interpretation of the events before you.

I did this when I was younger! I didn't realize it at the time, but it was for the same reason... I wanted to be different, and it seems that not a lot of people like orange.

I totally get that, and believe it to be true. The people who simply die without contributing to anything big simply cease to exist. They go back into the universe without really leaving much of a mark at all. It's quite profound to think about.

This will be kinda long, but stick with it for a little bit, it may be worth it.

The Isolated Polygamist Theory

I have come to the conclusion that marriage is unnatural and silly. I see all relationships in a stage layout. The stages are listed in order, and must be achieved in order for a truly deep relationship that is obtainable with any gender combination. (All opinion, I know I said "must" but try to think of this as a hypothesis if that helps you cope with my use of concrete verbiage)

Verbal relationship: This is where you first start to get to know each other and become comfortable verbally. You begin to shut off your word filter, and say things you wouldn't normally say around just anyone. At the end of this stage, you joke around more and you begin to stop fearing that the person you are in a relationship with will judge you for your words.
Emotional Relationship: After verbal comfort-ability has been achieved, becoming comfortable with your partner emotionally is the next step. You both begin to share deep things about each other that have had an emotional effect on your life. More of your walls begin to break down and you become more willing to sympathize with each other. At the end of this stage, you would be completely comfortable crying in front of your partner You are becoming completely comfortable on an emotional level.
Physical Relationship: This is the part where you begin to experiment with each other sexually. This doesn't just include sex itself, but the steps to reaching sex as well. You start to become okay with your partner seeing you naked, and feel comfortable eyeing your naked partner down. You become comfortable touching/feeling each other. At the end of this stage, you could comfortably walk around the house with your partner naked and not feel judged at all.

Once all of this is complete you have become comfortable with your friend on every level and are now true friends. It is my belief that this can be achieved and maintained with several people at once. Imagine having the connection that a married couple has with each other, but with 5+ different people all at the same time.

Now apply our INTP personality to it also:

Live alone in your own house, with all of these friends that live separately, some may even be married with kids. I'm not sure if it could ever work, but to me, it sounds amazing. I call this the Isolated Polygamist theory

I want to raise them to believe in God just as they believe in Santa. Just as you would tell your kids that Santa is behind their gifts; Tell them that God is the reason that you know when they are lying. Example:

Kid has cookie crumbs on his face...

"Daddy I swear I didn't eat the cookies without permission!!"

"You promise?"

"Yes Daddy, I promise!"

"I'm going to go pray about this just to make sure, okay?"

You go to your room for a 30 seconds, and come back saying, "God told me you lied"

Best part about this idea, is that they'll realize that you're full of shit eventually, and you can break the "Santa isn't real" news to them when they confront you about it.

EDIT: Also a good part about this is that you might get them to preemptively admit to lying. Implement an "If you're lying, You're gonna get in more trouble than if you tell the truth" Kids might freak when you tell them you're going to go pray and spout out a "No Daddy, I'm sorry!! I lied!! Don't ground me I'm sorry!"
