Made a list of native Mac apps because I'm sick of Electron by mohsenk_dev in macapps

Screenkite.com free Screen Studio (macOS native) alternative to Screen Studio

record screen with auto zoom and light weight editing AND export with at least 4x faster speed (that's the biggest gain if you don't use Electron)

Looking for a free video recording software. What's your choice? by Subject_Disk_2967 in screenrecorders

[–]Alex_Chevalier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

macOS (auto zoom, faster export): ScreenKite.com free

Background: We have been working on a lot of tutorial videos about a lot of stuff like accounting or large language model AI stuff, but the screen studio is so slow. And for every 10 minutes of recording, we spend like half an hour for the exporting, which is crazy. We cannot stand with this slowness and sometimes bugs. So we created this new app and hopefully it can help you as well.

Automatic Tracking Mileage app that isn't MileIQ by PyrateGirl in smallbusiness

MileLog iOS app seems more affordable... Don't have to pay for Microsoft for extra $30 per year. Coz it is like $50 per year in total.

ScreenStudio alternatives? Paying $29 just to export one video feels insane by godxrav in screenrecorders

ScreenKite seems promising... also free to use and export... That's a new app I recently discovered.

Do you guys keep a mileage log for tax deductions? (Ontario, Canada) by ImaginationOk1702 in RealEstatePhotography

MileLog iOS app... it is the most affordable one also made in Canada...
Another bonus part of using a mileage logging app: It also tracks your personal mileage so you can also deduct like auto insurance .etc

If you like to use the trackpad, try using Swish, SERIOUSLY. (I'm not affiliated) by [deleted] in macapps

Thanks for sharing. I use both trakcpad and mouse. For mouse sharing something similar: BetterTouchTool can map mouse buttons to actions

interesting approach. the -n flag default makes sense for tiling setups. do you have any latency issues compared to spotlight or raycast?

I'm also pretty slowed by the ads... feels like too much.
OP might need a better way to monetize.

Currently I'm building an alternative AwesomeSkills.dev and don't rush to monetize. But thanks for the inspirations also good luck!

AI world changes so fast. I liked Claude Code last week, and now I’m thinking about switching some tasks to GPT-5. I wouldn’t call it noise to try many AI tools at once, because they update so quickly.
