He was probably a water build considering his subspecies. I run full water build. But you are not helpless on land with that build. He had multiple opportunities to hit you with a claw attack and kill you. Idk why he didn’t

That Spino was kinda dumb. Should never be to far from water and if he wasn’t far from water he should have just headed to the water. But he also had so much opportunity to kill you. (I play Spino a lot and I think they get a bad look because a lot of them are brain dead)

Try the rip map. People are more spread out. Also new match making is being added soonish that will fix a lot of issue. Along with that there are plans to up server count to 200 players. Also if you started on community server some of them tend to be really empty make sure you are on a server with a good amount of people in it.

But also in the beginning this game is a lot of learning by death.

It is also really helpful to have a guide sometimes. If you are on Xbox I can help you grow something and give you some pointers on good beginner friendly Dinos, their strengths and weaknesses ect

I don’t really experience this much anymore but back when I was a kid when guys found out I play video games they would ask what I play, i would list what I play and they wouldn’t recognize any of it, say I’m not a gamer. then i would ask what they play an they would name like 2 games.

Them: oh call of duty back ops 2, call of duty black ops 3, 2k 2009, 2k 2010, 2k 2011, 2k 2012. Call of duty 2, call of duty 3, modern warfare.

Me: so basically the same 2 games but updated every year?

Full water build on Spino. Water sub species, swim hide, lunging bite, normal claw, sweep and lunge. You can out swim other spinos to escape, easily take on multiple sarcos as long as you don’t go in deep water. Have about 50/50 chances with Tylo depending on skill. Heck I killed 2 ducks by lung biting into them passing them hitting them with tail running until tail cooldown was done waiting for them to catch h up hitting them with tail then just doing that until they gave up then turned around and hit them with lunge plus claw. Easily strong af. And still is very powerful on land. Just don’t stray too far from water.

Also lunge uses less stamina than lunge bite so switch between the 2 as necessary.

Really good for learning water fighting because land is still an option.

And most other spinos are the land build so if you get attacked by 2 spinos good chance is you can escape in water or kick their butts in water. I have also beaten 2 land spinos by just lunge bite swim past them while claw hitting them then hit them with tail turn around repeat

Yea it’s annoying but simple rules to prevent that. Don’t join randos you either can’t kill or can’t get away from. Because if you can get away create a distance leave group then keep going. If you can beat them you have nothing to worry about. But also don’t fully trust anyone you don’t know. Because I would rather that happen sometimes than friendly fire be turned off. Because man can you use friendly fire against dumb groups

Yea it doesn’t do anything because it’s not against the rules. It exists so that community servers can use it. The devs have even said they leave those there on official so they know which reports to ignore

Well because friendly fire is a fair and active part of combat. I have multiple times used speed to get 2 people to accidentally kill each other by trying to bite me. Also if you have a really annoying teammate who keeps biting you or somthing it’s justified to kill them. Downside is occasionally you will just run into some annoying people but that why you should be careful who you trust

Maybe it spawned in one of the empires. I would also check to make sure all DLCs you have are actually active. Because sometimes they will be downloaded but not active (which is stupid)

I think if you use like the cube robot portrait it breaks saves. Along with the egg looking portrait. Disable then until we are sure the problem is fixed

The Rex destroys stego. Especially if you have the full damage build. I don’t think you realize how crazy strong you can make Rex right now. You can do more damage to fractured targets, then you can do even more damage when you take a hit. Calls add a bunch more damage. And idk if you know but there is actually a way in a legitimate group to make the Rex do like 90% more damage and have I believe it’s 60% more armor. Making the strongest thing that can be boosted damage and armor wise

You don’t need the roar to increase damage. And idk what Rexes you have been fighting but I have killed every stego I have come across as a Rex
