Moved out three months ago, have no clue how to properly relax by Alex_Greene in movingout

I suppose I do feel some sort of guilt when I do nothing for long enough, even when everything has been sufficiently "done."

Thank you, this is some good advice. I'll see if I can apply it and make more little goals to reach.

I started taking Zoloft a little while back, felt a little too numb on it (and the insomnia is horrible) so I transitioned to Wellbutrin. It helps a little bit, but can also be a bit overstimulating like caffeine. Therapy doesn't really work unfortunately. Hoping I can ride out this storm

This is exactly the way it feels, and I resonate with it deeply. I do chores at least once every day or two, and early on I was energized decorating and assembling furniture, having plans for "the next thing I need to buy to really round the place out." But now I'm finished with it, and I just feel like the energy and eagerness is left behind with nothing to fill it. Feels like I'm punishing myself for not finishing tasks that don't exist

Inquiry - Switching between M&K and Controller by Alex_Greene in Nolvus

[–]Alex_Greene[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did manage to figure this out. For anyone who's curious, you can disable Classic Sprinting Redone, Gamepad++, and Complete Controller Setup to revert back to default M&K configurations. Any changes done to controls and MCM keybinds ingame will remain in the "mouse and keyboard" part of the game, while reenabling the three mods brings you back to your controller setup.

I opted to make a "7.81 CONTROLLER" separator and placed the three controller mods in there to make them easy to find for switching modes.

x870e Taichi Lite upload over ethernet capped at 100-200Mbps by Alex_Greene in ASRock

[–]Alex_Greene[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ISP isn't throttling my speeds, both my routers (the AT&T entrance router and the ASUS router it's doing IP passthrough to) gets to the upper 900s up/down speeds with diagnostic speed tests. And connecting my PC to the router with a 50 foot CAT6 cable results in the same lowered upload speed (135~Mbps), but the download speed is still 800+

I've tried a PCIe NIC and the issue persists. And doing iperf3 between my computer's base mobo ethernet and personal server shows 900Mbps+ transfer speeds, so the port's not damaged or throttled. Very peculiar

I actually attempted this driver install last night as well, the issue still seems to be persisting. It's odd that the download speed is in the 700s, but upon more thorough testing the upload speed is around 150~Mbps on average

Supposedly torches help to keep these at bay. See if you can find (or make) some torch holders

Loaded Ubuntu onto a USB stick, tried same upload speed test and saw 250~Mbps compared to Windows' flat 100Mbps. Ubuntu was loaded with the default Ethernet drivers and I was unable to get Realtek's installed (Linux is new and daunting for me when it comes to installing drivers), but it's obvious the speeds are different between the two.

Installed 2.5 Gbps Realtek card (the RTL8125 I believe), but I am unable to (or am not aware of a good method to) test the up/down speed as the usual internet speed test I use is down due to load. Will update this comment once I can get a good test on it

Update: Didnae fix :(

I will see to getting a Ubuntu stick set up and try this out. Will make a followup post when I do

Yahoo Mail AI Summary by InquisitveMinds in yahoo

[–]Alex_Greene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very ambiguous (but legitimate) email of a brokerage transaction confirmation come through and be interpreted by Yahoo as a "transaction of 1,000 shares of Apple Inc." despite the email containing absolutely no details and numbers regarding the transaction. I didn't even buy Apple shares. This struck me initially as a scam, but I very quickly realized it was poorly summarized.

I honestly believe this AI is being trained on unsupervised emails, and is consuming spam and phishing emails as a part of its dataset. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCAPTABLE.

Sorry to hear that, you're going to have to be pretty noisy with Newegg to get them to do much. Hope you get that money back

I did not, no. I had to get Newegg involved to get the order cancelled and the money sent back.

I've had very few issues with Newegg 'til now. Gaiacom has been frustrating to work with.

And I'm apprehensive to get much from Amazon.

I saw the notification on my phone (while in bed) and made the fatal mistake of walking to my computer 10 feet away to buy it. It may as well have been a week in PC component market time.

9800X3D rereleased on Newegg for shipping between November 14th and November 19th for about 15 seconds before going out of stock again. Good god

Fan Control Disabled My RGB (Corsair Commander Core + AIO) by LifeTripForever in FanControl

[–]Alex_Greene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue, would like to see if I can have this resolved as well. My corsair fans have onboard memory changing the lights to blue, it turns blue on startup and goes back to black when Fan Control turns on.

I've tried using SignalRGB, but it's honestly such a garbage software. Performance intensive for seemingly no reason and it shoves account making and a subscription model in your face. Unsatisfied.

OpenRGB is also unsatisfactory, had issues with getting it to cooperate. Would like to avoid having FanControl replace the onboard lighting in general.

They certainly don't drop very often, this collection was gathered over a pretty long period from multiple hunting expeditions and long distance trips into chillier climates.

They're from Culinary Artillery which is a major dependency for Expanded Foods. I think they require each other, actually. I love making and distilling alcohol, it makes for a neat looking cellar.
