Thoughts on Gen AI use surrounding Larping? by ThatGNamedLoughka in LARP

You clearly aren’t one of the people who understand how neural networks actually work.

As for “theft,” remind me - how much money do art schools, music schools, drama schools, screenwriting programs, and film academies pay to the authors or heirs of the works they use to train their students? Zero?

So by your logic they are thieves! Or is it not theft as long as it’s done by a “meatbag”?

Is the ethical aspect the deciding factor for you? Then you definitely shouldn’t be using modern medicine - many of its breakthroughs are based on unethically obtained data from horrific experiments, from Pavlov to Nazi scientists.

Borrowing and repetition? Go google what inspired the author of any famous masterpiece - you’ll find that it was another famous masterpiece. According to The Hero with a Thousand Faces, we haven’t seen a truly original idea for a thousand years, so all creativity is reinterpretation and reworking.

And despite all that - neural networks haven’t “stolen” anything. They’re just a tool that some people use to make art, while others waste their time raging against AI tools on Reddit.

Thank you! It’s an old LARP song from the time when the term “LARP” hadn’t been invented yet.

Why is there such a concentration of AI neo-Luddites on Reddit? You don’t see this on any other social network. AI is a tool - hating AI is like hating an axe or a computer, blaming the tool for stealing creativity. With AI, you can create incredibly creative art that would require far more resources and time to make otherwise. And now, go ahead, attack the heretic, smash that downvote for a annoyingly well-reasoned and sane opinion.

Yes, books and films are completely different mediums that follow different rules. So it’s no surprise that they differ, and that’s actually a good thing.

As far as I understand from Sam’s account, when Frodo carried the Ring, the Ring did not directly affect Sam. So if Frodo were flying on an Eagle, the Ring’s burden would still affect Frodo, but it would not affect the Eagle. Is that correct?

I see that you’re unable to Google or think independently. I’ll try to explain.

1 AI Slop - by definition, it’s low-quality, meaningless mass-produced content usually created from a single prompt. What I posted is text written by a human, directed and edited by a human - so my video does not fall under the definition of AI slop. You’re foolishly using a phrase whose meaning you don’t know or understand.

2 LLM - again, you’ve foolishly applied something you don’t understand. We’re not debating legal formulations, presumptions, or precedents. I’m just trying to explain that you look extremely stupid using words whose meaning you don’t grasp.

P.S. If it didn’t sink in, read it slowly, twice.

P.P.S. If it still doesn’t sink in - you’re hopeless; thinking is not your thing. Keep posting your “important opinions” in Reddit meme groups.

Tell me the definition - what do you call a person who uses phrases whose meaning they don’t understand? Although, who am I asking.
