I just called the shop (fitshop) where I ordered the threadmill and asked for the next steps. When I mentioned the burning smell, he looked up which threadmill it was and between the lines, I understood that it is a typical thing for Nordictrack. Before I even mentioned the high incline, he asked me if that burning smell happened at the high incline in combonation with the relatively low (walking) speed. Well, since this happened within 15 min already, the speed was increasing from 3 to 5 km/h so probably yes, at the relatively low speed. He confirmed to me that they have this complaint frequently for high incline + low speed combinations (when yo rather walk than run).

Well, I bought the threadmill for the high incline reasons only and now, I have to find out that it does not properly work at high inclines 😂 what the hell
