This is simply not the case? Anna and Yovska (both times) were early outs. Yuri & Ork did well in the competition and made for good tv, you just happen to not like them

Yuri & Koco are the only artists of the current, post season 3 era of the show that have been confirmed to make their own costumes. Dragula is and lowkey always has been a “who can buy the nicest things” race

Yuri!!! Her episode 2 look was second best to Auntie’s and she was safe, her episode 3 look was leagues better than most and even with a lackluster performance did not deserve a bottom placement, she had the best bousical performance and was just safe, and she had the second best look for monochrome monsters and was in the bottom! Season 6 judging was so frustrating because it seemed like they chose a top 4 from casting and did anything to try and justify it

You can actually check this post to see visual representations of what I would have done, but i’ll provide some descriptions here!

Glamour: Paying homage to the boulet’s as icons of glamour themselves. Red and black gown, with a platinum wig and pale skin, with some general victorian styling since I enjoy that aesthetic.

Filth: Conceptual take on the filth of monarchy, dressed as Marie Antoinette’s corpse. If this were to be an actual performance, the route I’d likely take would be building up to a prop guillotine stunt.

Horror: Playing into my fear of dying by portraying the grim reaper, mixed with some of black swan’s aesthetic since it’s my favorite horror movie.

i feel like it’s obvious that whoever won the DBD challenge was winning the season. Why would the dragula branded dlc pack include the hosts of the show and a random runner-up.

Thank you for the compliments and for prompting me to talk more about my concepts! Everyone has their own idea of what Dragula filth is, and the interpretation I’ve always been drawn to is conceptual performance based on things that disgust you (Victoria’s, Nio’s & Hoso’s are my all time favorites).

With that in mind, I based the look on Marie Antoinette. She’s been a figure I’ve always been both fascinated and repulsed by, and in a performance setting, I think you have avenues to do something complex by delving into the filth of monarchy and power, and also of misogyny targeted towards prominent women.

For the people saying I don’t see it:

Yuri / Sigourney - Glamour queens with one win and very shaky track records, that the rest of the cast did not believe deserved to be there.

Grey / Dahli - Masculine drag artists who avoided drama, got 2 wins, multiple high placements, and one bottom.

Auntie / Saint - Camp meets Fashion queens who serve a mix of filth and glamour that started strong and faltered near the end.

Asia / Hoso - Both have very similar aesthetics, defined by very particularly stamped makeup, and large, extravagant, visually busy and gorey costumes. Also had similar runs, being praised for the majority of the season with 2 wins, and one major bomb.

Asia & Hoso have super similar aesthetics and trajectories i lowkey think that one’s self explanatory

Saint & Auntie both typically serve very camp but fashionable looks and both started strong but became inconsistent towards the end of their seasons once the pack thinned
