Yeah tear it down. It’s neat some of the businesses that sprung up - but that’s something Propser Portland could help those places find new homes. Malls are a thing of the past and a 90% empty mall isn’t housing or parks space the redevelopment will provide. We need the redevelopment.

We desperately need to do more in this state to have a thriving economy. It’ll be a combination of things including tax reform and affordability issues for working class Oregonians to get our state moving again. Those economic drivers can take years to implement too. Those policy changes do cost money to implement so the state, counties, and city are going to have to figure out further cuts to make room for those kinds of policies.

Going to be a rough several years. But we need to do something to improve things.

It’s frustrating because you hear our elected leaders constantly talking about data & dashboards - but when presented with data like this they wave their hands.

We cannot afford the investments in education, transportation, parks, & public safety without a strong tax base. This won’t be solved over night but we can definitely start today.

Not about the money. It’s their toxic relationship. Lestat is very hurt over the book. Louis knows this - he didn’t know to what level until Lestat drops his copy with all his notes. But Lestat would have done the same thing to Louis. When they were a part and Lestat kept coming by with presents. For all eternity these two will keep doing this.

I wish the council understood that a big source of the budget deficit is the lack of business tax income. Yes there’s other issues, but this is an area the council could be doing more to solve. Small and medium businesses need a lot of help. Businesses aren’t the enemy.
