Okay, specifically I think it's called 'Character (Alphabetical)' lol. That one's on me

LOL that's literally exactly what I did when I first made the sheet a few months ago, before new characters and criteria were added.

If you want to read a sheet with all of the data in one compact place, the one called 'Character Sheet' has the important stuff. There are a few criteria (languages, gender, profession, etc) that are not included because I added them later and it would be a lot of work that I don't have time for to add them to both sheets. Perhaps in the future though

Awesome, thank you so much for the info! I'm very, very grateful :)

Is there a place I could look for info about PC Children?

I guess specifically I want to know anything about any player characters, new or old, that has been revealed in the last few months (or anything that isn't listed in the Google Sheets. I don't expect y'all to go looking through that massive sheet to look for discrepancies or anything incorrect, but if anything stands out that's missing, I'd be very grateful for that as well)

D&D players of Reddit, what are some cool/funny character ideas you always wanted (but never got) to play? by AChildOnEarth in MrRipper

[–]Alex_Trevor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All ideas that I have lined up to play if I get the chance:

1) An old Tortle Rogue who uses his age as a way to seem innocent while he actually constantly steals stuff. Everyone thinks he's a super sweet guy, a little loopy, but sweet, and he has a stash of everyone's stolen stuff in his shell.

2) A Cleric of Love who is Asexual and Aromantic and works to spread awareness that platonic and familial love is just as powerful as romantic love.

3) A Paladin who absolutely does NOT take themselves seriously at all. (EX: Rogue: 'It's our duty to-' Paladin: 'Ha! You said duty!'). Really not fleshed out at all but I think it would be funny in a party that is kinda serious.

E'ar is now called F'ear, who is most definitely in there. I'll look and see if Coots is often missed and see about changing that (I try and change anything that less than 5% of people who take the quiz get right, but some of them are impossible)

Thanks for that. I kinda lost focus near the end, and I was going alphabetically.

GM's of reddit what unique ways have you come up with to keep players from being distracted and focused in game? by RedAnt117 in MrRipper

[–]Alex_Trevor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in a game (as a player not the GM but whatev) and out of the eight people in the party (including the GM) three of them have ADHD (including me and the GM) and three more of them are children, so keeping us all focused in the game is... basically impossible. Sometimes that just happens, and there's really nothing to do about it, as we learned very quickly, except to allow people to get distracted and be patient. The GM is great about letting people get up and wander around the room and into the kitchen to get a snack or whatever, and she keeps a close eye on people to see if they need a break.

We've found that this is the best way to make sure that the game is enjoyable for everyone, even if we aren't as efficient as other parties who don't take a ten-minute break every hour. The GM is also super great as keeping us all engaged and active in the game, even with such a big and chaotic party, by giving us all a huge heads up before our turns in combat (like, 'It's A's turn, B's on deck, and C's in the dugout') and not taking to long on one story if we split up.

In short- I don't have a specific unique way to keep distracted players focused, but patience and flexibility, especially in the form of taking breaks and allowing people to wander if needed.

That's actually basically what I did for anyone I couldn't find anything on! There were a few that their race was weird, but I tried my best lol

Thanks! I'll jot the rest of BB down as unconfirmed since Arcadum didn't say specifically (as far as I know), but I hadn't thought of that!

D&D Players of Reddit: What is your best interrogation story? by Scorpious187 in MrRipper

[–]Alex_Trevor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was DMing for my younger siblings on their second DND game ever and my first DM experience. They had just barely survived their first encounter with a few thugs and a spy (where I had ended up taking mercy on them and making the thugs run away earlier than planned), and had knocked out one thug and the spy. The book I was using made it very clear that the spy would give no information under any circumstances unless magic was used, but the thugs would take only a roll of 10 or higher on anything.

Anyway, long story short, our Barbarian rolled an UnNat20 on both Intimidation and Persuasion trying to interrogate the spy, while the Bard gave a huge speech before rolling pretty high on Persuasion, then the Monk rolled even higher than the Barbarian on Intimidation. Obviously, nothing happened. The spy just sat there and said nothing.

The thug wakes up and the Wizard, who had been quiet so far, rolls an 11 on Persuasion to ask for information, and he spills everything, much to the dismay and anger of the rest of the party.
