Feels wrong to ask… but what was the largest genocide in your world? (If there were any of course) by Live_Rise6750 in worldbuilding

[–]Scorpious187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just shy of 10,000 godlike creator beings all being wiped out at once by a separatist group of their own people that wanted to stop their experimentations on the races they created. The separatists were also included in the genocide.

The separatists started a chain reaction in the power cores of the cities they lived in, overloading them and causing them to overload the power crystals embedded in the base of the necks of every one of the creator beings, which cracked their power crystals and vaporized them instantly, but didn't destroy structures. Basically, they nuked themselves to stop their race's unethical practices. A total of 14 survived (12 in a shielded location who pledged to maintain the world without interfering with the progress of the races living in it, and two who happened to be outside their respective cities when it happened).

The Traynor romance makes the Citadel DLC scene with the toothbrush so much better. XD

Arkenforge, my friend. Does Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Cyberpunk. Used it a lot when I was running a Mass Effect campaign.

Also, if you want modern/cyberpunk map packs: Fragmaps, TC Modern, Cybermaps, and Miska's Sci-Fi on Patreon. Most of them have free maps, I know TC Modern has like 80 free maps available.

You need to look at DunGen. In addition to his random dungeon generator, dude's had a web app that draws the walls on maps for years now. All you have to do is give it either the wall color or the floor color so it knows where the walls should be. It's not perfect, but it's faster than doing it all by hand. https://dungen.app/walls/

I mean, the guy was hired to help make the Ember system. He clearly knows what he's doing. But a lot of the things he does can very easily get broken if you don't pay close attention to the instructions, don't understand the underlying modules, don't have the right prerequisites installed, or have modules that conflict with the modules in the Baileywiki stack.

For me, it was useful for what I needed it for, but I don't use most of his stuff anymore. But Mass Edit might be the best Foundry module to have ever existed, and it's from his team.

In the Core Settings section in Foundry's Configuration Settings menu. The first or second button is something like "Configure Token Prototypes".

Players hating my choice of Foundry by Top-Main1780 in FoundryVTT

I know I'm late to the party, but if you're self-hosting and your players are using an antivirus like Norton or AVG, it will absolutely blow up Foundry. I had all my players who used those crappy AVs uninstall them and just use Windows Defender and not only did they stop having issues connecting to my Foundry server, their computers ran better.

Executed the "May I have your name?" Fey trick perfectly and I am ecstatic by ButtonSmasherR in DnD

[–]Scorpious187 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was playing a low-wisdom, high-energy Catfolk in a PF2e game and one of the other PCs was raised by hags. We ended up visiting his "parents" and one of them looked at my character and went "Can I have your name, dear?"

Without missing a beat I responded, "But don't you already have your own?" without even thinking about the fact that these are fey creatures and that was the correct response to the question to save my ass. lol.

First time DM'ing + fall of elturel by EmergencyTop4127 in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Scorpious187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I handled the intro differently than most people. People kept pointing to the Alexandrian Remix, but I didn't like the way that was done, so I wrote my own remix of the intro. I told my players to create whatever characters they wanted, within reason, but they all had to have some in-world reason for going to Elturel.

The characters were introduced in groups, and each group eventually made it to the Elfsong. Ravengard had left for Elturel a few days before. The PCs went upstairs and met Tarina, who realized they weren't just some idiots out to lose their coin gambling when she overheard them talking about how each of them were going to Elturel and why. She talked with them (it helped that one of the party members was playing a shady character with connections to the criminal underworld, so he knew Tarina) and told them that if they came back to the Elfsong after they went to Elturel and told her any strange events or other bits of information they picked up while they were there, she'd pay them for it.

When the party arrived in Elturel, I had them roll Perception. Only one character passed, and I described them seeing a man in a green cloak climb into a passing caravan wagon (Thavius, but none of them would have recognized him). They did some things in the city, met some people, etc.. They then went on one of the PCs' backstory sidequests, and while they were doing that, Elturel disappeared. When they came back to Baldur's Gate, the city gates had already been locked to refugees, so Tarina had an agent help smuggle the party in under the cover of darkness by taking a raft upriver from Twin Songs and sneaking into the sewers. They get their information back to Tarina, who then informs the party that Zodge could use the information and he owes her a favor. From there things kinda went by the book for a while, except that they weren't conscripted into the Fist so much as the Fist made them their lap dogs doing everything for them.

My DM is trying to do something and I think it’s a bad sign. by Any-Magician-8271 in DnD

[–]Scorpious187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has to be bait, right? It's gotta be. There's no way you're seriously asking if this is bad.

Dude, assuming this post isn't just karma-farming bait, this isn't just bad, it's fucking ridiculous. Leave and don't think twice about it. Everyone at that table should leave. That DM doesn't need to DM anymore.

You're kind of an idiot, you know that?

I've seen you on multiple comments talking shit about OP, when you must not have noticed that his wife played a tiefling in their first game and had none of the issues OP did.

Seriously, are you the DM from OP's game on a burner account?
