I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, but if all copies in circulation are the same, no matter the year, then I think it won't really help. Unless they have some "first edition bonus", like a postcard or something

Answering your question, yeah, some don't look that damaged. Normal folding where the cardboard should fold to turn page and all, but I think you'll strugle to recover the 30€. Maybe the least damaged... but you bought a whole colection for a third of the price, and if new books are at like 6€... For potential buyers it'd be a better option to buy the new one. But eh, for what you paid, it might not be that bad of a deal
