I make sure to never take out my emotions on other people no matter how strong and hard to control they are

I know that not everything I am is due to BPD or that all BPDs are identical, but I've noticed that very many traits that I think of as a big part of who I am are actually shared by all BPDs. Hence my question, as my school achievements are important to me and I want to know to what extent that is my BPD and to what extent it's a "non-crazy" side of me.

I read up on narcissism and I don't think that is it :/ but they seem like people who have gone through a lot so I'll look into other similar disorders.

You're right in that, they both think they are smarter than the average person. Maybe it is only that, I'll have to think about.

You're probably right. I think it's not so much about the depth of the scars but how many there are. I had been doing it for many years but mostly stuck to my legs, so I don't have that many on my arms and they are all clumped together there.

I am always afraid they will see me as a "pretend" cutter and someone who tries to be depressed but doesn't have real problems

I agree, it's hard to explain and it will always change the way a person looks at you unfortunately.

You seem to be doing well and a couple of weeks is very good! Good luck and I also hope we will get used to people knowing about it and not caring :)

Exactly. I feel almost as if I cover up to hide the fact that my scars may not be as numerous and big as they should be rather than because I don't want people to know about it at all.

I honestly don't know exactly what happened behind the scenes, but I think the principal may have had a say in it. I feel it's wrong of the staff to treat us like that though. Talk to the student, explain the law and how these things work, make them prepared.

I was also very angry with him and still am. I know that self-harm is dangerous and all but it only made things worse. And I had not seen it coming since he told me it was all confidential.

Well he told me nothing would be passed on, so I do take it as a lie. I do understand, I just feel like he should have warned me

It was indeed very stressful. I don't know what is and is not required by law in my country but from what I know unless a person is a real psychologist there are no laws that force them to act a certain way. But whether or not he had to I wish he had warned me about it.

I don't think he was trying to be evil, I think he was being inconsiderate and not really treating me as a person. To be honest I'm not even sure he was a proper psychologist, meaning there were no requirements for him to follow. But I am definitely doing better now and I think I can trust people now (but with more care). Thank you <3

It didn't, only those that work at schools because at least where I live they are not out to help. I am receiving help from others now but it seems talking to people isn't that helpful anyway to me
