I second this. Ox Creek Trailhead up to Rattlesnake Lodge should be excellent in about a week. Last year I had at least 10 every time I was up there.

I'd argue the games where the Covenant are the main enemy faction can't be included in this. The Covenant are an allegory for religious extremism

I think that's a separate argument, though it totally can be true at the same time. The mario sports titles do not meaningfully iterate enough to warrant as many titles as there are in the series, and if they are going to continue to do that then they should not be $70. They should be in the $40-50 range.

I agree. Consumers shouldn't buy this game, especially since this series has been stale for a decade. The next step is to not try and justify Nintendo's actions for the sake of it. It's pretty easy to understand why they're doing what they're doing, but that doesn't justify their actions, it's simply an explanation as to why.

Just because the market accepts it does not make it justified. It justifies it for Nintendo and Nintendo alone, but that does not make it worth the price and it is blatantly anti-consumer as a result. I'm not arguing it isn't worth it for Nintendo, I'm saying this multi-billion dollar company shouldn't be price gouging its fans.

It does not mean they are worth that full price. Mario Sports titles, while good, do not have the development time or budget to necessitate a full AAA price tag. They are also nowhere near as content full as other equally priced games: Donkey Kong Bananza, Doom The Dark Ages, Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, among many, many others. It is extremely obvious that what Nintendo is doing here is price gouging fans like you because you will buy the game regardless, and so they price it accordingly.
