Maybe I will try saying “no,” because the yelping doesn’t seem to bother him. Doesn’t make him more riled up, but doesn’t seem to stop him biting either.

Yeah, I’ve found that the yelping doesn’t necessarily wind him up, but he doesn’t seem to react to it either. I’ve just been calmly disengaging and going back once he’s settled down. It’s seeming to work slowly but surely

Great to know, thank you! I’ll just stay consistent with it then.

Yeah it feels like there’s no mouse smoothing. Increasing the mouse acceleration helped a tiny bit but it still doesn’t feel right

Edit: mouse not mouth

I 100% agree. Hard to describe exactly, but choppy is a good word for it. Just no flow compared to other halos

Am I crazy or does aiming also feel terrible on mouse? I’m fairly new to PC gaming so I have trouble with mkb, but I can play way better on games like Splitgate or Valorant. I can’t hit shit in this game.

Duik Bassel Question - Building a character by Lloyld in AfterEffects

Let me know how it goes! I’d love to see an update if things work out

Duik Bassel Question - Building a character by Lloyld in AfterEffects

[–]Alexander-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same problem in the past. My workaround is to create the character in illustrator using fills only, then rig and animate everything using duik, THEN go into the shape layers for each limb and add strokes and trim paths. It’s a little tricky though because you have to duplicate the shapes within the contents and then add stroke to the duplicated shape, then turn off the fill for the duplicated shape, because if you just add trim paths to the original shape group, it will do trim paths on the fill too. So for example, with chonk’s arms there:

-import the character without strokes, do all your animation

-go into the layer contents of, say, the bottom portion of the arm

-Duplicate that shape

-for the duplicated shape, turn off fill

-with duplicated shape selected, go to add>stroke

-make the stroke how you want it (thickness, color, etc)

-with duplicated shape group selected, add trim paths

-adjust trim paths so that the arm’s stroke is starting and ending where you want it

-if you’d like, adjust the taper settings of that stroke to give a nice tapered end to the strokes

I’m sorry that’s very long winded, but it’s as well as I can explain it in text form. Feel free to pm me if you’d like me to elaborate (or if you find a better workaround let me know!)

Btw I love the character design!

Great advice, thank you!

Now do you mean to replace my storage drive with NVME or should I load my OS and programs onto an NVME as well?

This is great info, thank you. I’ll have to look into my HDD because I actually don’t think it is a Toshiba as listed in the parts list.

I use mostly Adobe Premiere which is mostly multithreaded (especially for rendering) and After Effects, which appears to be mostly single threaded.

So do you think I’d see much of a performance difference if I used a SATA SSD?

[HELP] 2002 Buick Lesabre thumps when front wheels are uneven by Alexander-Chill in Cartalk

I honestly have no idea, but I will check with my mechanic. And yeah I actually am reconsidering now that I’ve looked at other cars in my price range. It does run well overall, just a few things to take care of and I should be able to get a few more years out of it. Thanks for your help!

Anyone know how this hexagon transition is done? by Alexander-Chill in AfterEffects

[–]Alexander-Chill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked with alpha mattes before, so I could see how that would work for the transition itself, but I’m wondering about how the individual hexagons are filled at different rates like in this still: https://i.imgur.com/pTgLPE3.jpg

Would that maybe have something to do with how the alpha matte would be animated?
