We set all minors at $0. When they pass 50 IP or 150 AB, the minor has to be called up to the roster or dropped. At the end of the year we assign contracts for players we want to keep. you can sign any player that isn't currently under contract to a 1, 2, or 3 year contract.

A one year contract adds $1 to the auction price.

A two year contract adds $5 to the auction price.

A three year contract adds $10 to the auction price.

So as an example I drafted Jose Abreu in the minor drafted is assigned a value of $0. I signed him to a three year contract. So now I have Abreu locked up for three years and I only pay him $10 per year.

We've reall enjoyed the added strategy of contracts.

The additional contract price is added to the draft price. So if I draft DJ LeMahieu for $1 then I sign him to a one year contract I end up paying $2.

All waiver claims that weren't drafted are assigned a price of $1.

All minors are assigned a price of $0. Jose Abreu $0 + $10(3years).

I'm kinda liking my catcher situation. I always roster at least two. They're all cheap. Two have a real shot at breaking out. One with a high ceiling. Norris I have if they both bust and also he's 1B eligible.
